Be Merciful To Those Who Doubt
A Call To Help The Fallen
Jude 1:20-23
“But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

These verses are a closing pastoral exhortation that instructs believers how to stay spiritually strong and engage with people influenced by false teaching.
After warning the church about ungodly mockers and apostates in the earlier parts of his letter, Jude shifts from defense to a positive call to action.
He gives four practices to anchor believers in their faith, reflecting a Trinitarian framework, mentioning the Holy Spirit, God the Father, and Jesus Christ.
1) Believers must actively strengthen their understanding by living out of the core apostolic gospel truths.
2) Spiritual growth requires ongoing, dynamic prayer guided and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
3) Christians must remain close to God by staying obedient, receptive, and rooted in His abiding love.
4) Believers must look forward with confident hope to eternal life as an unearned gift given through Christ's final return.
Jude explains how to deal with people who are struggling, drifting, or caught up in false doctrines, urging discernment and varying levels of caution.
He tells us to approach skeptics or the hesitant with patience, understanding, and gentle persuasion.
At times we must take urgent, bold action to rescue those deeply influenced by dangerous errors before face-to-face judgment consumes them.
We believers are called to help the fallen while maintaining extreme caution and moral purity, avoiding the contamination of the very sin that ensnared them.
All glory be to God forever and ever! Amen.
Please share to our brothers and sisters all around the world.
