For The Word Of God Is Living And Active
God's Word Requires Application
HEBREWS 4:12
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
”Hebrews 4:12 NKJV

The Word of God is more than a book of words, or a vehicle for communicating ideas. In deed, their is immeasurable power in the bible you hold in your hands (ISAIAH 55:11).
In it, we encounter the very words of God Himself and the narrative He wants us to have, understand, cherish, and apply into our lives every day.
It is living, powerful, life changing, and dynamic as He actively works within us.
With greater incisiveness of a surgeon’s knife, God’s Word exposes who we really are and what we are not. It penetrates our deepest thoughts and the core of our moral and spiritual life.
It seeks out what is in us, both good and evil.
It works separately through our flesh, our soul, which is our mind, will, and emotions, and our spirit accordingly, separating every part with the precision of a surgeon’s knife to transform us into Christ like people.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
My beloved, all creation came to be because God spoke it out. “By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.”
Psalms 33:6 NKJV
We are children of God and the words that come from our mouths are powerful. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Proverbs 18:21 NKJV
Therefore, we must be disciplined and mindful of our words.
“My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.”
James 3:1-12 NKJV
God’s Word requires application; we must do more than just listen to God’s Word.
We must gain understanding and receive revelation from Him, speak it out over ourselves and situations, and we must put into practice everything we learn from Him.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.“
John 1:1-5 NKJV
If He is sitting on a shelf for show, or in your car not used, He will be of no use!
Read your bible daily and study; put into practice everything you learn from Him, and ask God to reveal the Scriptures to you.
For God’s Word is the legal root and a weapon of mass destruction against the enemy.
My beloved, all we need do is speak it over ourselves and situations and believe to bring the giants down.
But when we fall into gossip, we curse ourselves, damaging our own body, and give up ground to the devil.
But used with diligence, not only will His word help you to tap into God’s immeasurable power, but it will actively bring change into the church and the way you think and live.
Furthermore, Jesus said, ““Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.””
Matthew 18:19-20 NKJV
By obedience to God’s word you shall experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand and it will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus (PHILIPPIANS 4:6).
Furthermore, with His peace shall come the joy of the Lord, which is your strength (NEHEMIAH 8:10).
My brethren as spoken through the Prophet Isaiah, “Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. “For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, And instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; And it shall be to the Lord for a name, For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.””
Isaiah 55:6-13 NKJV
