He Is My Refuge & My Fortress, My God, In Whom I Trust
Whoever Dwells In The Shelter Of The Almighty
PSALM 91:1-6
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.”

Psalm 91, originally composed by Moses, on the day that he completed the building of the Tabernacle in the desert.
These verses describe Moses own experience as he entered the Tabernacle and is an encouragement for all believers today, that he who dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
The writers faith in God as a protector would carry him through all the dangers and fears of life.
Since God is a shelter and a refuge when we are afraid, his faith should be a picture of our trust in God, trading all our fears for faith in Him, however intense our fears become, even in the midst of the darkness of this world today.
God is and always was in control.
By entrusting ourselves to His protection, living and resting in Him, and by pledging our daily devotion to Him, we will be kept safe in the secret place of the Most High, and shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
He will protect us and rescue us from the traps of the devil-the snare of the fowler and from deadly diseases-perilous pestilence.
My brethren, just as chicks takes refuge under the wings of the mother hen, so we take refuge in God’s perfect care; He is our “buckler”, our shield and protector, His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
The truth is, whatever is happening in our lives or in this dark world, we are safe in God’s capable hands.
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:31-39 NKJV
My beloved, God’s Word has the ability to change lives, to renew mindsets of negativity into Christ like mindsets that bring joy and peace in the chaos of this world (ROMANS 12:1-2). “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12 NKJV
Therefore, speak His Word over not only your life, but over the lives of your loved ones and change shall come.
Particularly, the psalms like psalm 91 that brings upon us God ultimate protection.
Speak it out, for God’s Word always achieves that what He sent it to do, it never returns to Him void (ISAIAH 55:11).
My beloved, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.””
Psalms 91:1-16 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
