I Am Certain That God, Who Began A Good Work Within You, Will Continue His Work Until It's Finally Finished On The Day When Christ Jesus Returns

PHILIPPIANS 1:6
“being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

God started His work for us when Christ came into the world, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
It finished when Christ died on a across paying our debt of sin in full (JOHN 19:28-30).
His work within us starts in the moment when we first believed and commit our lives to Him, and continues throughout our lifetime and will finish when we meet Him face to face.
Therefore, ““He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.””
‭‭John‬ ‭3:18-21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
God sent His Holy Spirit to help us in our walk with Him with the promise that He would never leave us.
Jesus said, ““If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:15-18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Today, the Holy Spirit lives within believers, teaching, leading. and working within, enabling them to become more like Christ every day.
Paul is describing the process of Christian growth and maturity that began when we accepted and committed to Christ Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, and continues until Christ Jesus returns.
It is encouraging to know that God never stops working, and when He starts a project, He always finishes it.
As He did with the Philippians, God will help you grow in grace until He has completed His work in your life.
But for that change to come we must submit to the Lordship of Christ and fully cooperate with Him.
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
When you are discouraged, struggling with a particular sin, addiction, trouble, trial, or challenge, remember that God won't give up on you; He started His good work within you, and true to His promise, He will finish it.
When you feel incomplete, unfinished, or distressed by your shortcomings, remember God's promises and provision.
Don't allow your present condition rob you of the joy and peace of knowing Christ, or hinder you from growing closer to Him.
Troubles will come, but each with true purpose in our lives.
Therefore “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
My brethren, God’s work is all but completed and
Jesus is soon to return.
But unlike His first coming when He came to save the world, He is coming to execute our entire eternal future.
Neither your past sinful life, nor your mistakes of the future, can stop what Christ has done, for when you believe on Him, you shall be judged by Christ’s righteousness, not your own.
We all have a choice, it’s God’s kingdom or the devil’s forever, and believe or not, forever is a very long time.
Give your life to Christ today and receive the gift.
Salvation is not achieved by our good works or achievements, if it was, none of us would ever see the Kingdom of God.
But rather it is achieved by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who took the punishment of all your sins, past, future, and mine, and in deed, the sins of the world, that all would have the opportunity of life everlasting.
Salvation is not a difficult or complicated process, and there are no hidden terms or conditions.
It is a wonderful gift that came at a very high price, the blood of Jesus Christ, and is available to all.
“But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭8‬-‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Therefore my beloved, As Peter told them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.””
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭38‬-‭39‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
