Look The Virgin Will Conceive A Child! She Will Give Birth To A Son And They Will Call Him Emanuel, Which Means "God Is With Us"
Who Is In Control, You Or Your Flesh?
MATHEW 1:20-23
“But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

V
God sent angels, spiritual beings created by God, to help carry out His work here on earth, and actually, He continues to send His angels to continue His work today.
As back then, they support us believers today and bring God’s messages to people (LUKE 1:26), protect God’s people (DANIEL 6:22), offer encouragement (GENESIS 16:7), give guidance (EXODUS 14:19), carry out punishment (2 SAMUEL 24:16), patrol the earth (ZECHARIAH 1:9-14), and fight the force of evil (2 KINGS 6:16-18; REVELATION 20:1-2).
We believers can ask God to send His heaven’s armies to fight on our behalf against the spiritual battles we face that manifest into our physical troubles here on earth.
All of our troubles are spiritually sourced and sin lets the devil in. Therefore, submit to the Lord, resist the devil and he shall flee from you (JAMES 4:7).
But there are good and bad angels; and because bad angels (fallen angels) are allied with the devil, they are considerably less powerful and have authority only in ones sin. But to under estimate their powers and abilities would be a foolish mistake.
By no means can mere humans stand against these powerful beings in their own powers and abilities (ACTS 19:11-20).
God sent His angels to help certain people understand the significance of this supernatural event, the conception and the birth of Jesus Christ (see 2-13, 19; LUKE 1:11, 26; 2:9).
The angel declared to Joseph that Mary’s child was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and that she would have a Son and His name shall be Jesus, which means “the Lord saves;” and that he should not be fearful to take Mary as His wife.
This reveals an important truth about Jesus, that He is both fully God and fully man (PHILIPPIANS 2:6-7).
Jesus Also known as Immanuel, (God is with us), has many names and titles, wonderful, counsellor, prince of peace, and many others that describe who He really is.
We cannot save ourselves from sin and it’s consequences; it’s too late for that, for we have already sinned, but Jesus came to this earth in human form (PHILIPPIANS 2:6) to save us.
No matter how good we are, we cannot eliminate the sinful nature present in all of us. Only Jesus can do that; He is the way, the truth, and the life, He is the only way to the Father in heaven (JOHN 14:6).
He didn’t come that people could save themselves, rather He came as a good Father, to take the debt of sin on His shoulders, to be their Saviour from the power and penalty of sin which is death.
We cannot save ourselves from the wages of sin, because sin according God’s Law justifies and brings about death.
God’s grace does not override justice, for if it did, Jesus would of had no reason to die on a cross to pay the debt of sin.
But because Christ justified our lives by taking our place on a cross, His grace is enough.
Furthermore, because He was risen, we believers have resurrection life with Christ.
Jesus would fulfil the prophecy of Isaiah, for He would be Immanuel (God is with us,” see Isaiah 7:14). Confirmation that Jesus was God in the flesh, He was literally among His people here on earth doing His work to undo the evil deeds of the devil, and start the work of building His church until He died on a cross as a human sacrifice for the redemption of our sins. “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”
John 15:13 NKJV
Today, Jesus remains with us; through the Holy Spirit, He is present today in every born again believer (see JOHN 14:15-21), making way in our lives as we face the trials and tribulations of today, such as manufactured pestilence, controls and restrictions, and persecution, leading us in His righteousness, by His power and abilities to claim the victory that Christ won for us on the cross over sin and death.
Regardless of what is going on around us, no matter what this world throws at us, we already have the victory through Christ who is our strength (1 CORINTHIANS 15:57).
Eternal life is a gift from God; He paid a very high price for you as He did for me. But to receive it, you must apply His spilled blood to your life, walk in it by faith and believe.
One must cooperate with God (ROMANS 12:1-2).
We cannot continue to live in sin and expect to enter the Kingdom of God. But rather we must walk by the leading of the Holy Spirit putting our old sinful ways to death.
That’s not always easy, for the lust of the flesh are powerful and our deceitful hearts, and we all have one (JEREMIAH 17:9), will operate to fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Jesus sent the help we all need. He said, ““If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
John 14:15-18 NKJV
To receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, one’s heart must be right with God and believe.
Peter said, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.””
Acts 2:38-39 NKJV
When one receives the gift of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit joins with his spirit and “he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”
I Corinthians 6:17 NKJV
At this time his spirit is made perfect, for “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”
Ephesians 1:13-14 NKJV
Therefore my beloved, “Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
I Corinthians 6:18-20 NKJV
When we walk in obedience to the Holy Spirit in us, He manifests through our souls, our mind, will, and emotions to do good works through our flesh in His righteousness, and out of the belly/ heart shall flow rivers of living waters (JOHN 7:38).
But when one slips back into sin or goes his own way, the Holy Spirit retreats and remains silently connected to our spirit. It then feels like He has left us in the wilderness, like He has abandoned us. But the truth is, He never leaves us (JOHN 14:18), nor condemns us, ROMANS 8:1), but rather convicts us to repentance.
Our sin brings us in alignment with the devil and he and his demons are able to enter the flesh and one becomes possessed/ demonised.
Once in, these demons can influence one’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, until removed.
Many say, the devil cannot possess anyone because possession is ownership, and the devil owns no one.
But actually, if someone steals a car (vessel), he can drive it anywhere, use it to do damage, kill, steal, and destroy, and completely break it. But when he’s caught and brought before a judge, it is returned to its rightful owner.
These demons are like parasites that squat in our bodies and bring many troubles.
To remove them, we must bring them before the Judge Jesus Christ in the courts of heaven, tick the boxes of repentance and they shall be evicted.
James tells us, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
James 4:7-10 NKJV
To submit is come to Christ in repentance. To resist the devil is to rebuke him and command him to come out by name, for they will say , “it’s not me he’s commanding out,” and then they will flee from you.
We all have choice, to live to satisfy our lust, or to live for Christ by the leading of the Spirit.
One can make his flesh king or his Spirit king.
Who is in control, you or your body?
Put to death the lust of the flesh and make ones spirit king. It is then that his soul, his mind, will, and emotions, can freely serve the king, led by the King of kings, to do good works through the flesh who becomes slave to the king.
The flesh certainly won’t be happy and a battle starts from within over dominance, for in one’s former life the flesh was king, and the soul was slave to the flesh and called to satisfy its lust.
“Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands— that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”
Ephesians 2:11-13 NKJV
Therefore, my beloved, “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”
Galatians 5:16-26 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
