Christ Has Set Us Free

Not Free To Continue In Sin

GALATIANS 5:1

Christ came to set us free; free from a long list of laws and regulations; not free to do whatever we like because that would take us back to the slavery of our selfish desires.
But thanks to Christ, free to do what was previously impossible; to live selfless lives in the protection of Christ Jesus our Saviour.
He paid it all that we may have life and have it more abundantly (JOHN 10:10).
But “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
But we must stand against those who entangle us with rules, methods, or special conditions for being saved or growing in Christ.
The truth is, there are no special requirements of salvation, every religious law and sacrifice was fulfilled at the cross. Jesus paid it all with His own blood, and if one cannot believe that much, he shall not see the Kingdom of God.
Jesus said, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.””
‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
The truth is, if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (ROMANS 10:9).
While it is good to attend church, and actually is a command (HEBREWS 10:25), joining together in worship and singing praises to our God, attending church each week will not save you, nor will any good works, practice or religion; salvation Is by faith alone, for we have all sinned and fall short of God’s glory. We all need Jesus spilled blood applied to our lives along with God’s grace.
He is the ruling judge that will decide your eternal future.
He said , “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Only by a personal relationship with Christ can you really get to know Him and truly believe. And like any relationship, that involves regular and personal conversation with Him.
Make time each day to speak to God privately and listen to what He has to say to you and take in His word, for His word is the bread of life (JOHN 6:35).
Jesus said, ““Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬

God will remove every obstacle in your way to serve Him if your heart is right. He won't open doors to sin, but if you seek Him, you shall find; if you knock on the doors of righteousness,  they will be opened, for everyone who asks, receives. But their are blockages to the promise, such as inappropriate desires and goals, false religious beliefs, and of course, the lust of the flesh, that are all promoted and pushed upon us by the devil and his army of fallen angels.
Many believers today are held in captivity or bondage and are in need of deliverance.
The devil and his army of unclean spirits and demons are very real (EPHESIANS 6:12) and enter through sin.
They enter our bodies and like squatters, make our bodies their home.
Furthermore, they infiltrate their very souls( their mind, will, and emotions) they manipulate with lies and bring torment and misery.
They bring all kinds of sinful desires, confusion, fear, and all kinds of addictions, rage and anger, health issues, cancers, depression, and even suicidal thoughts (MARK 5:1-20; MATHEW 8:28-32).
That person has become demonised (possessed) and is in need of deliverance.
These demonic beings are spirit beings that have no body of their own to operate in this physical world, and their focus is yours and will, if allowed, move in and take possession of any vacant space.
Possession by the way, isn’t ownership. If someone steals your car, he drive anywhere, abuses it if he wants to, even destroys it, but when caught, he is evicted and the vehicle is returned to its rightful owner.
These demons came to steal, and to kill, and to destroy, but Jesus came to give you life, that you may have it more abundantly (JOHN 10:10).
Furthermore, these devils can be passed on through the generations by the sin of our ancestors, and therefore many are born demonised and cursed.
Are you hearing voices or having bad dreams? Are you caught up in repetitive sin or addiction? Are your relationships failing or are you struggling with finances? Are you going round and round in the same old roundabout of troubles and despair? Are you suffering from anger, rage, anxiety or depression, or having suicidal thoughts or have other mental health or recurring health issues? If so, you may need deliverance. I tell you the truth, deliverance is key to healing and a changed life.
Thank God that we believers have authority through Christ over these unclean spirits and demons to cast them out and set the captives free (LUKE 10:10).
That is freedom from the confusion they bring ; freedom to serve God and live in His righteousness; freedom to live joyfully and be prosperous; freedom to be healthy and at peace. Freedom to serve God and to Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
But having been set free, one must stay free.
Live right with God and invite Him to fill every vacant room within your body with His holy Spirit, for Jesus said, ““When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭43‬-‭45‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Unlike the demonic, who like squatters, enter without consent, the Holy Spirit enters through agreement, by agreement of the covenant of salvation.
We believers are baptised by total submersion in water, publicly declaring their submission to God and the covenant of salvation.
John the Baptist said, “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭3‬:‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
It is then that one is saved, for the Holy Spirit joins with our spirit within to help us and lead us in our walk with God.
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”
Romans 8:12-17 NKJV

Then, if not debtors of the flesh, we must walk in the Spirit according to His Plans and Purposes.
He resides within our spirit to lead us and guide us through life to do good works in the Spirit.
As we walk with Him, He manifests through our very souls, our mind, will, and emotions to bring the right words, prayers, response’s and all kinds of good works through our flesh, such as healing and deliverance.
My beloved, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬-‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Jesus gives us freedom not to continue in sin, but to be free from it and its powers.
He gives us freedom to live with Him and for Him. He gives us the promise of salvation and that promise is automatically extended to our children and as many as our loved ones He chooses to call (ACT 2:38-39).
But when we slip back into sin, the Spirit retreats and remains silent within our spirit. It feels like He has left us, that we are alone in the wilderness, vulnerable to the enemy.
The torment returns, along with the guilt and shame, but Jesus neither leaves nor condemns us (JOHN 14:15-18; ROMANS 8:1), but rather convicts us from within unto repentance.
Sin lets the devil in through our flesh and we become demonised, but James tells us, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬-‭10‬ NKJV
Therefore my beloved, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
