Every Good & Perfect Gift Is From Above
We Cannot Steal God's Glory
JAMES 1:17
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”
James 1:17 NKJV

We all want to be successful in life, having a good career, being prosperous, and to be recognised for our successes.
That is ok, but however, we must not forget that every good gift is from our Father in heaven.
He is our creator, the sustainer, and the source of all provision.
He gifted each and every one of us in one area or another with both spiritual and physical gifts that we are able to operate successfully in both the spiritual and physical realms.
Some, he gifted as musicians, singers, or writers, others he gifted their hands; some he gifted with the ability to heal, others to prophecy we are all good at something, spiritually and physically.
“There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.”
I Corinthians 12:4-6 NKJV
My brethren, we must not forget God is the source of everything good; without Him we can do nothing good, indeed, without Him we wouldn’t exist at all. Yet with Him, we have the ultimate gift of eternal life and can do all things through Christ who is our strength (PHILIPPIANS 4:13).
Without any doubt, all the glory belongs to our Father in heaven, and whilst we believers can bath in His glory, we cannot steal it or pretend it is ours (ISAIAH 42:8; ISAIAH 48:11).
The bible often relates light to good, and dark to evil. God is the Father of good, He has not even a shadow of darkness in Him; He is perfect and Holy.
Furthermore, He is awesome in power. “By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deep in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the LORD; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.”
Psalms 33:6-9 NKJV
God is our creator; “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
John 1:1-5 NKJV
Jesus is our creator, the light that shines through the darkness, and without Him, nothing was made.
As your creator, He knows you more than you know yourself; He knows your needs, your wants, your deepest desires, and importantly, what is good for you and what is not.
My beloved, “Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
Psalms 37:3-4 NKJV
Therefore, submit to the Lord, resist the devil and start the process of change; allow Him in and remove the anxiety, the depression, the addictions, the deep scars, and sadness, and all the hurts of life. Allow the Son to set you free and watch the darkness flee from you (JAMES 4:7).
Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
John 8:34-36 NKJV
Free, not to continue in sin, but rather to live for Christ and receive His gift of life and have more abundantly (JOHN 10:10).
Therefore my beloved, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:4-7 NKJV
With God’s peace comes joy in the Lord; joy in the calamity and the chaos of this world, and it is joy in the Lord that gives us strength (NEHEMIAH 8:10).
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen
