The Lord Will Be King Over The Whole Earth
Be Ready! The End Is Near
ZECHARIAH 14:9-10
“And the LORD shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be— “The LORD is one,” And His name one. All the land shall be turned into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be raised up and inhabited in her place from Benjamin’s Gate to the place of the First Gate and the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king’s winepresses.”
Zechariah 14:9-10 NKJV

This chapter (verses 1-21) portrays the Messiah’s eventual triumph over all the earth and His reign over God’s people.
Though the chronology order of these events is not clear, they show God has many ways of dealing with His people.
Zechariah 14:9-10 describes a future time when the Lord will be king over the entire earth, and His name will be known by all as the name above every other name.
In that day, the land surrounding Jerusalem shall become a plain, while Jerusalem will be raised up and securely inhabited, no longer to be destroyed.
The Lord will be king over all the earth, and His name will be recognized and worshipped by all.
This signifies a time of singular, unified worship and a rejection of idolatry.
The entire landscape will be changed, with the area south of Jerusalem from Geba to Rimmon becoming a flat plain.
Jerusalem itself will be elevated and will remain in its place, enlarged to a great size from the Benjamin Gate to the Corner Gate.
The city will be permanently secure and no longer subject to utter destruction.
Today, as we look on, we can see the end events unfolding-our world leaders are taking us into the direction of the cashless society and the mark of the beast (REVELATION 13:11-18).
My brethren, it’s all but over.
Thank God, He is faithful to provide an escape for His people.
Jerusalem is the city of God and the focal point of all the world’s worship.
Jerusalem’s honour and elevation dramatically shows God’s supremacy over all. He has no equal, no rival, and His name is above every name; He will reign forever and every promise He has ever made shall come to pass.
My beloved, that day is fast approaching and it is encouraging to know that “God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.””
Revelation 21:4 NKJV
But the question is, are we ready! “For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”
Matthew 24:38-44 NKJV
Be prepared for the hour is fast approaching.
Jesus said, “”Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.”
Matthew 24:32-34 NKJV
But what are these things? And when did they start?
Jesus said, “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
Matthew 24:7-8 NKJV
It’s not difficult to understand that Nation will rise against nation was the beginning of sorrows which started in 1914 with the First World War.
Furthermore, Jesus told us, “Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.”
Matthew 24:34 NKJV
One hundred and eleven years later this generation is close to finish, yet this generation will by no means pass away until all these things take place.
My beloved be ready, whilst planning in wisdom for tomorrow, live each day like it is your last; for “the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers, “And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
I Peter 4:7-11 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
