Oh “Taste and see;” is a warm invitation into God’s Kingdom and Christian life that is based on selfless unconditional love for one another.
Try this and taste how good He really is.
When we take the first steps of obedience in following Christ, we will discover that God is loving, kind, and faithful. His way of life by far exceeds any other way; His way of life brings lasting peace, joy, and contentment.
My beloved, Jesus is the only way, the only truth, and the only life that can bring peace today and eternal life with our Father in heaven (JOHN 14:6).
It is through Him alone, we can find our way to our Father in heaven and eternal life (see JOHN 14:6).
In the beginning and even throughout our Christian life, our knowledge is partial and incomplete; but as we trust God daily, we grow in knowledge, understanding, and obedience, and we begin to experience just how wonderfully good He really is.
But however, we humans cannot live right in our own strength because of our sinful nature that we inherited from Adam and Eve (ROMANS 5:12).
But Jesus said, ““If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭15‬-‭18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
God has not only made a way to deal with your sin, He will send His Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and help you all the way.
I tell you again, ““Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17:7-8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Many believe their are many ways to our Father in heaven, but sadly many fail to understand that their sin has separated them from God. They do good by giving to the needy, and do their best to live righteously and say “God won’t allow nice people to perish, for it is written, My grace is enough.”
But while we are saved by God’s grace, His grace does not override justice; if it did, Christ would not have needed to die on a cross to pay our wages of sin.
It is through His shed blood that our new life in Christ is justified are saved.
But my beloved, “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53‬:‭1‬-‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
But for grace to have its way and for healing to take place, Jesus blood must be applied to one’s life through an eternal covenant with God.
My “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things shall live by them.” But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, “ ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭1‬-‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
One’s new life in Christ starts with a simple prayer of repentance and commitment, followed by baptism, a public declaration of one’s covenant in Christ (ACTS 2:38-40), and his eternal future is sealed forever by the indwelling Holy Spirit (EPHESIANS 1:13-14; 2 CORINTHIANS 1:22), and he is set on a path of transformation (ROMANS 12:1-2).
My beloved, our Almighty God made a way where there was no way.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.””
‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬
My beloved, salvation is a gift from God, a ray of hope in this failing world.
Furthermore, regardless of one’s health, wealth, skin colour, or sinful past, or even one’s sexual orientation, salvation is available to all people.
Taste and see how the Lord is good. Receive it, declare it, apply it, and walk in it, and forever be at peace (JOHN 14:27).
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭31‬-‭39‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
