"For I Know The Plans I have For You," They Are Plans For Good And Not For Disaster, To Give You A Future And A Hope
A Promise To Israel
JEREMIAH 29:11
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

This verse is a divine promise of ultimate restoration and hope given to the ancient Israelites enduring captivity in Babylon, rather than an immediate guarantee of personal wealth or an easy life.
God spoke these words through the prophet Jeremiah in a letter to the Jewish exiles forced into Babylon.
Instead of a quick rescue promised by false prophets, God told them to settle down, build houses, and plant gardens because the exile would last 70 years.
The Hebrew word translated as "prosper" is shalom, which means holistic peace, wholeness, and community welfare rather than financial luxury.
People often quote it to mean God will grant career promotions, smooth paths, or a trouble-free life, but the promise was addressed to the entire community of Israel as a nation, not as a personalized blueprint for an individual's career or romance. Having said that, it does promise spiritual release to believers held in bondage today-"Whoever calls upon the Lord shall be delivered (Joel 2:32; Romans 10:13).
Most of the original exiles died before seeing the 70-year restoration happen, meaning the hope was generational and ultimate, not immediate.
It is encouraging that the verse reminds believers that God has not abandoned them even during painful periods of "exile" or uncertainty.
We believers can view the verse as an anchor of resilient faith, trusting that God's overarching purpose is good even when life is difficult.
The final fulfillment points to spiritual restoration and eternal hope rather than earthly comfort.
All glory be to God forever and ever! Amen.
Please share to our brothers and sisters all around the world.
