The Lord Is My Light And My Salvation
Jesus Is The Light At The End Of The Tunnel
PSALM 27:1
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

V
Fear, is a dark shadow that envelops us and ultimately imprison’s us within ourselves. We all face fear at one time or another; fear of rejection, uncertainty, sickness, and even death.
Fear is another word for anxiety, and is the food of depression. I tell you the truth, fear, like hot is the opposite of cold, is the opposite of faith.
But with a mustard seed of faith, anxiety/ depression cannot remain within you, for you shall say to the mountains in your life, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
Matthew 17:20 NKJV
You’re doctor will tell you there’s no cure for anxiety/ depression, but with pills and counselling we can control it. But if it is in you and needs controlling, it’s not too difficult to understand that it is living within you. Depression feeds from fear and without it, depression cannot survive.
My brethren, cast out the spirit of fear and the depression will leave too.
Pills and counsel suppress the symptoms, including your mind, but faith brings the ultimate healing.
Today, the spirit of fear still hovers this earth, and continues to imprison many following the pestilence of the past few years. It is here to steal our peace and joy, to destroy our lives (JOHN 10:10).
The devil used It to destroy our financial systems, our schools and education; in fact, our very way of life.
The troubles of this world is part of the devil’s agenda to lead us into the cashless society he has planned for us; his intention is to own and put upon each of you his mark-the mark of the beast (see REVELATION 13:11-18).
Jesus told us, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
John 10:10 NKJV
But the good news is, we do not to live our lives full of fear, suffering from depression, torment, or confusion, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
II Timothy 1:7 NKJV
These demons are subject to all Spirit filled believers in Jesus name (LUKE 10:17) and we are able to cast them out.
They enter through sin, including the sin of our ancestors, and like squatters don’t come alone.
They bring their friends, lust, perversion, pornography, anger, addiction, Jezebel, Leviathan, and many others including Legion, which is an army of thousands.
If you are struggling in any of these areas, or having recurring nightmares, sleepiness nights, or struggling any kind of repetitive sin, you most likely need deliverance.
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
James 4:7-10 NKJV
That is to say, believe, turn away from sin toward God and submit to His will, rebuke-verbally call out these devils, and they shall flee from you.
They can be stubborn, but with persistence, they have to leave.
Furthermore, the demonic are the source of all sickness, and healing runs hand in hand with deliverance.
“Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”
Isaiah 53:1-6 NKJV
Jesus paid it all, and because of what He done, freedom from the devil’s chains is yours through Christ.
God has given us many spiritual gifts to help each other in these battles (1 CORINTHIANS 12:4-11), but our ultimate weapon is love. It is a weapon of mass destruction against the enemy.
Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
II Timothy 1:6-7 NKJV
My brethren, when we are feeling low and down hearted, let us remember this psalm of David and speak it over yourself, for Jesus is the light of the world; He is the light at the end of the tunnel.
He makes ways where there are no ways, and makes the impossible, possible (MATHEW 19:26; MARK 10:27; LUKE 1:37 and 18:27).
The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident. One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.” Do not hide Your face from me; Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the Lord will take care of me. Teach me Your way, O Lord, And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; For false witnesses have risen against me, And such as breathe out violence. I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!”
Psalms 27:1-14 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
