Oh, The Joy s Of Those Who Do Not Follow The Advice Of The Wicked Or Stand Around With Sinners Or Join In With Mockery
Walk In The Spirit
PSALM 1:1-6
“Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

God doesn't judge on the basis of race, gender, or colour, and He looks right past sin; but rather, but rather, He judges them on the basis of their faith in Him and their response to His revealed will.
The truth is, it is impossible to please God without faith (HEBREWS 11:6).
Those who submit to God and by faith walk in obedience to His Holy Spirit, are blessed (GALATIANS 5:16-26).
They are like healthy fruit bearing trees that stand along the river bank with strong roots to hold them firm in their faith. (JEREMIAH 17:7-8).
These roots are grounded in Jesus; He is the well that never runs dry(ISAIAH 58: 11).
Furthermore , God promises to watch over them whilst His wisdom guides their lives.
In contrast to those who don't trust or obey God's will; those who walk in the counsel of the ungodly (unbelievers), they are left to their meaningless lives to blow away like dust.
Their are only two paths of life that lay before us-God's way of obedience or the way of rebellion and destruction.
The ultimate outcome is heaven or hell; therefore we must all choose our path carefully; eternity is a very long time.
You can learn how to follow God by meditating on His Word and by spending quality time in prayer talking to God building a relationship with Him. Which means humbling one’s self before God in repentance and accepting that God is right in every situation.
These are the first steps towards applying God's Word to your every day life; but one must cooperate with God and put into practice everything he/she has learned from Christ.
“What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?”
James 2:14-20 NKJV
The truth is, we cannot do anything good and lasting in our own human strength, and it is impossible to be saved by works, for we have all sinned. But by believing on Jesus Christ and what He did on a cross, one is saved and shall do good works by the leading and the power of the Holy Spirit.
When saved, the Holy Spirit joins our spirit and in Spirit we are made perfect.
“Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”
Romans 8:12-17 NKJV
As we walk in obedience to the Holy Spirit, He shall manifest Himself through our flesh and out of the belly shall flow rivers of living waters (JOHN 7:38 KJV), the works of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
The battle is over our souls, our mind, will, and emotions, our consciousness where we make our decisions.
Therefore, make one’s spirit king, subject to the King of kings; His soul, servant to the king, and his flesh to become slave.
When one slips back into sin, by obedience to the flesh, the Spirit retreats from the flesh, opening doors to the devil.
It feels like God has left us, but He never leaves us.(JOHN 14:18), for His promise of salvation stands.
But rather, He convicts repentance from within.
James said, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
James 4:7-10 NKJV
The more we delight in God, the more fruitful we become; but on the other hand, the more we allow those who ridicule and reject God to influence and affect our thoughts and attitudes, the more we become separated from God-our source of nourishment.
We must have contact with non-believers if we are to witness to them, but we must not allow ourselves to be dragged into their sinful behaviour.
In other words, love the sinners as Christ loves us, but hate their sins.
It is Christ love that shines through us that shall draw unbelievers to our Lord and Saviour.
The phrase "they prosper in all they do," does not mean believers are immune from failure or difficulties, nor does it guarantee health or wealth.
What the bible means by prosperity is this: When we apply God's Word and wisdom, the fruits we bear will be good and pleasing to God and we believers shall receive God's approval. Just as a tree soaks up water and bears good fruit, we are to soak up God Word, producing good fruit-actions and attitudes by the Holy Spirit.
My brethren, good works without faith cannot save anyone-but true faith in Christ producers good works.
We mere humans cannot be saved by our works, but by faith alone in Christ.
Therefore, “if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””
Romans 10:9-13 NKJV
My beloved, as Paul said, “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”
Galatians 5:16-26 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen
