The Lord Is Good, He Protects Those Who Trust Him In Times Of Trouble
Only Jesus Can
NAHUM 1:6-8
“Who can stand before His indignation? And who can endure the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, And the rocks are thrown down by Him. The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him. But with an overflowing flood He will make an utter end of its place, And darkness will pursue His enemies.

Nahum’s message: “The burden against Nineveh (v1), was a very strong message; a message that should be taken very seriously.
Our God, is a jealous God, He will avenge His enemies, He will furiously take vengeance, and He reserves His wrath for His enemies (v2).
But at the same time, the Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, His mercies are renewed every day (LAMENTATIONS 3:22-23), and His grace falls upon all who repent. He wants no one to perish, but all to come to repentance (2PETER 3:9).
But do not be complacent; He will not acquit the wicked (v3).
No one can defy God the Almighty; He is the creator of the universe, the stars were born by His breath (PSALM 33:6). He controls the sun and the galaxies. Who could stand against Him; He who controls the rise and fall of nations?
He knows those who put their trust in Him; and for them, He is faithful; He is a stronghold in times trouble.
No situation nor problem is too big, or indeed too small for our gracious God.
Whatever your situation, however impossible, it’s possible with God (LUKE 18:37; MATHEW 19:26).
He goes before you to make way, and at the same time, goes through it all with you (DEUTERONOMY 31:8).
Truly, The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
The righteous run to it and are safe (PROVERBS 18:10).
This is a very encouraging message for us believers today as we face the trials and challenges of this world; the failing financial systems, broken businesses, unemployment, restrictions upon our freedoms, and man made pestilence that we have all become victim to.
The truth is, Jesus is the only solution; “Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6 NKJV
Jesus is the only solution to the troubles of this world today; only He can turn this around, He alone uses all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purposes (ROMANS 8:28).
We know that evil shall increase and take the world to the great tribulation after which the Lord shall return and take back the world from the devil (MATHEW 24:29-44), and “He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;”
Revelation 20:2 NKJV
This word was given to Solomon, and I believe is for God’s elite today:
My brethren, “The Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: “I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually. As for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and My judgments, then I will establish the throne of your kingdom, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, ‘You shall not fail to have a man as ruler in Israel.’ “But if you turn away and forsake My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods, and worship them, then I will uproot them from My land which I have given them; and this house which I have sanctified for My name I will cast out of My sight, and will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples. “And as for this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and say, ‘Why has the Lord done thus to this land and this house?’ Then they will answer, ‘Because they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore He has brought all this calamity on them.’ ””
II Chronicles 7:12-22 NKJV
My beloved, man’s old church is finished, and Christ church is rising. “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”

Christ is taking control of His church, separating the chaff from the wheat, and pouring out the new wine into His specially prepared wine skins (JOHN 2: 1-11; MARK 2:22; Joel 2:18-19).
Jesus time is now and as He said, ““Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”
John 14:12-14 NKJV
For this is the the time of new wine (JOHN 2:1-11), with the new wine, comes new powers and new freedoms, for the kingdom of God is here.
My beloved, unless it Jesus apostolic ministry, it shall profit you nothing.
Church is not a social club, it is a body of people of which Christ is the head.
We Spirit filled believers are an army of people called to battle the enemy by the leading of the Holy Spirit.
But our enemies are not people, not even those who hate us and persecute us. “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.”

Jesus said, “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
Matthew 7:22-23 NKJV
The old religious church is dead, the old wine is all but depleted. The worship may seem good, and the prophecies may seem encouraging. But there’s no real fruit; people’s lives don’t change because while the devil can prophecy, do miracles, and heal, he does so only to deceive, and he will not cast out the devils (MATHEW 12:26); they remain in the church and take the people round and round the same old time and time again, displaying the cross, but not carrying it.
My beloved, you shall know them by their fruit (MATHEW 7:15-20).
The old church has been operating as businesses in competition with one another, and leaders desperately preach a prosperity Jesus to bring in funds and the worship in many has become nothing more than entertainment designed to please people.
The Pastor/ minister controls, rather than host and shepherd’s. He shuts down everything that doesn’t support his ideals and blocks the movement of God because he rejects the words of the apostles and prophets and puts his trust is in himself rather than God.
“I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
Ephesians 4:1-6 NKJV
The church is God’s vehicle to move in the spiritual realms and fight the real enemy, the devil and his army of unclean spirits and demons.
But Jesus needs to be in the driver seat, and there is no place for back seat drivers telling him how and where to drive.
Therefore, submit to God’s leadership, allow God to bring unity throughout the whole church nation wide, and “Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.” Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.” “I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.””
