The Lord Is My Strength & My Shield; My Heart Trust in Him & He Helps Me
Rejoice In Answered Prayer
PSALM 28:6-7
“Blessed be the LORD, Because He has heard the voice of my supplications! The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.”
Psalms 28:6-7 NKJV
My beloved,

We all run into trouble, it’s not “if” but “when” we face troubles (JAMES 1:1-2). But the truth is, whatever issues life throws at us, and whatever mistakes we make, God can and does turn the bad into good (ROMANS 8:28; GENESIS 50:20).
He uses our life struggles to teach us, build our faith, and change even the way we think, building strengthen our patience and perseverance.
James tells us, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
James 1:2-4 NKJV
Like David, we believers need to remain close to God and seek His guidance every day.
When troubles came David’s way he was already in God’s presence and prepared and ready to face all the world could throw at him. He remained under the shadow of the Almighty (PSALM 91:2).
We believers can call upon God for help at any time, but how short sighted is it to call upon Him only when we are in trouble?
Many of our troubles could of been avoided if only like David, we had kept close to God in prayer and involved Him in everything that we do.
Through daily prayer, being ready to listen and heed to His advice, we shall be kept safe under the shadow of our Fathers wings (PSALM 57:1).
Prayer develops relationship and draws us closer to God, which is true wisdom, for it is Christ alone who can lead us through even the shadow of death and keep us safe and at peace (PSALM 23). It is Christ alone who died to pay your debt of sin and was risen. It is Christ alone who shall decide your eternal future.
“This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him. If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.”
II Timothy 2:11-13 NKJV
David tells us, “Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
Psalms 37:3-4 NKJV
I encourage you, whatever your struggles, God has all the answers; in deed He knows the things you need before you ask Him (MATHEW 6:8), and will, while you are doing good by helping others, send the right people or help that you need.
Therefore, delight yourself in the Lord, and as is written, He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Furthermore, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”
James 1:5-8 NKJV
Again I tell you my brethren, ““Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV
My beloved, rejoice in answered Prayer:
“To You I will cry, O Lord my Rock: Do not be silent to me, Lest, if You are silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit. Hear the voice of my supplications When I cry to You, When I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary. Do not take me away with the wicked And with the workers of iniquity, Who speak peace to their neighbors, But evil is in their hearts. Give them according to their deeds, And according to the wickedness of their endeavors; Give them according to the work of their hands; Render to them what they deserve. Because they do not regard the works of the Lord, Nor the operation of His hands, He shall destroy them And not build them up. Blessed be the Lord, Because He has heard the voice of my supplications! The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him. The Lord is their strength, And He is the saving refuge of His anointed. Save Your people, And bless Your inheritance; Shepherd them also, And bear them up forever.”
Psalms 28:1-9 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
