Whatever A Man Sows, This He Will Also Reap

Be A Joyful Giver

GALATIANS 6:6-8
“Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
”‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:6-8‬ ‭NKJV‬

Paul says that students should provide the material needs of their teachers (1 CORINTHIANS 9-7-12).
Our spiritual leaders and teachers have financial and physical needs just like everyone else, and many have willingly given up their time and ability to work and earn a reasonable living so that they can serve God.
It is easy to receive the benefits of good Bible teaching and assembly and then take our spiritual leaders for granted, ignoring the cost of operating the church and their financial and physical needs.
Tithes and offerings were very important in Old Testament church, for believers were not Spirit filled and therefore needed guidance of how much to give.
But in today’s church, we are blessed to be led by the Holy Spirit, and should give according to His leading.
Giving is a very important part of our faith and should not only care for the homeless and needy, but also the cost of running church, not grudgingly or reluctantly, but with a generous heart, showing honor and appreciation for all they have done (1 TIMOTHY 5:17-18).
We are one body in Christ, and all have a responsibility to contribute both time and finance according to one’s ability to operate the church.
Giving to your local church is very important, they cannot operate without funding.
But that is not an excuse for church leaders to use God’s word to manipulate the congregation with false promises of blessings or by emotional blackmail.
Given is important, but must be Spirit led.
To give outside of the leading of the Spirit, may undermine God’s work in others and bring poverty on one’s self.
The devil is very happy to encourage God’s people to give more than they can afford and break their finances.
My brethren, whether money or your time, give generously with a joyful heart according to the leading of the Holy Spirit in you.
God does not promise riches nor a trouble free life on this earth. But truly I tell you, God sees your every good deed and the blessings are piling up in heaven where neither moths nor rust can destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal (MATHEW 6:20).
We shall certainly harvest what we sow.
It would be a big surprise if you planted corn and potatoes came up.
It is natural law to harvest what we sow.
The same applies in our everyday lives too; if you gossip, You will lose friends, but if you show love, care, and respect, you shall gain friends.
If you sow in the flesh, you shall reep of the flesh, but if you sow in the Spirit, you shall reap in the Spirit.
My beloved, we can produce nothing good in the flesh except to satisfy the lust of the flesh (GALATIANS 5:16-26).
Love is a weapon of mass destruction against the enemy; it is the way to win friends and influence people, which is so important to the work of sharing the good News.
It is love combined with the signs and wonders that shall draw others to the Lordship of Christ.
It is shining for Christ that initially draws people to you.
Living right, operating in the Spirit with love shall produce a wonderful harvest of good fruits, including many new born “Born Again” believers in Christ.
Every single action has a consequence; you will harvest what you sow.
If you plant to please your sinful nature and desires, you will harvest a crop of sorrow and evil. If you plant seeds to please God, you will harvest joy, contentment, peace of mind, and everlasting life.
But to sow to please God, one must sow in the Spirit, for nothing good comes from the flesh; the fruits of the flesh are not good.
Every issue we face, whether sickness, poverty, finances or curses, are sourced in the spiritual realms and justified by sin, so it makes sense to pray in the Spirit (EPHESIANS 6:18; JUDE 1:20).
Jesus paid it all, justifying good health, peace, joy, and life everlasting. But we must walk in the truth of the Spirit and believe to receive.
But my beloved, “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53‬:‭1‬-‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
We all have choice; we can live to please the flesh and reap of the flesh, or we can live to please the Spirit and reap of the Spirit. The choice is to walk in the Spirit or to satisfy the flesh.
“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬-‭26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
My beloved, “No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.”
‭‭I John‬ ‭4:12-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Surely my beloved, “He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”
‭‭I John‬ ‭2:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
It’s easy to talk the talk, but now we believers must walk the walk and humbly follow the loving examples of Jesus Christ.
All glory to God forever and ever. Amen.
