Be Brave And Courageous. Yes, Wait Patiently On The Lord
It's Not Easy Bing A Christian
PSALM 27:11-14
“Teach me Your way, O LORD, And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; For false witnesses have risen against me, And such as breathe out violence. I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!”
Psalms 27:11-14 NKJV

David obviously went through some serious trials and he knew from experience exactly what it meant to wait upon the Lord.
He had been anointed king at sixteen, but didn’t become king until he was thirty.
During those years his life was under threat and he had been chased by jealous King Saul.
David had no choice but to wait on God for the fulfilment of his promise to reign.
But he, in his present life, was confident that God would see Him through it all, and that he was safe in God’s mighty hands.
Waiting on God is not always easy, and in these times of of darkness on this earth, many are becoming frustrated and fearful of the future.
All are being affected as our health care systems are crashing, churches are closing, the darkness is closing in, and our world leaders do not have the answers.
Their response are destroying our monetary systems and economies. Many businesses have collapsed and unemployment is rising like never before; mans way is becoming more and more painful, because it simply doesn’t work, and even our successes are temporary.
Like David, as life challenges come, we need to verbally declare our faith to the Lord and psalm 27 is the perfect word for that. Therefore, speak it out and make it your prayer.
We believers need to give our troubles to God, trust Him implicitly, and wait upon the Lord, for He has a wonderful plan in your life as He does in mine, and that shall come to pass in His perfect timing, but you and I alike, have to cooperate with Him.
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Romans 8:28 NKJV
That is ALL things however painful or wrong they may seem.
“And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.””
Deuteronomy 31:8 NKJV
He has already made a way for His people and in His perfect timing He will remove the parasites that hold many in bondage. As we go through the seas of baptism, He shall bring us safely into the promise. But our enemies shall be washed away indefinitely (EXODUS 14).
He shall build His church His way (EPHESIANS 4:11), and the government will stand upon the shoulders of Jesus Christ (ISAIAH 9:6).
Maybe our way of life may change, but whatever comes, God is in control and we are safe in His hands.
I encourage you, whatever struggles you are facing, whether in your ministry, work place, or in your family life, whether you are a world leader or a slave, whatever the colour of your skin, or whether you are young or old, however impossible it may seem, God has the same answer; what is humanly impossible is possible with God (LUKE 18:27; MATHEW 19:26).
My beloved, no trouble is too big, too great, or indeed too small for our Almighty God, and that includes your sins however big they might be, and the impossible situation that you face today.
Be patient, wait on the Lord, and ask Him as did David, to teach you His ways and lead you on a smooth path. Put your trust in Him who loves you. Be of good courage and He shall strengthen you.
My beloved, so often our difficult situations come about through our own foolishness, “But God demonstrates His unfailing love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from His wrath through Him.”
Romans 5:8-9 NKJV
The fires of purification are a slow process, and we must all go through them. But in Gods perfect timing we shall come out of the fire white as snow, not even smelling of smoke (DANIEL 3:7).
Being a Christian isn’t easy and we shall all painfully run the race that is set before us. But by faith alone, we shall all individually cross the finish line victoriously through Christ who is our strength.
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:31-39 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
