Receive The Gift Of Life

DEUTERONOMY 30:11-16

“”For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the LORD your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭30:11-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God has called each and every one of us to keep His commandments. In this message, God is reminding us that His laws are not hidden from us, nor are they too complex or mysterious for us to understand, and not far from us.

My brethren, His word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart that you may do it.

Today, God is calling us believers to obedience. But we all have a choice; to love the Lord our God and walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgements that we may live, multiply, and receive His blessings, or not.

“But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them, I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess. I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.””

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭30:17-20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The choice is yours, unless of course you allow the devil to choose for you.

Having said all this, the reality is, no one of this world can be saved by simple obedience.

It is too late for that, for we all have sinned and cursed ourselves with death.

Many say, “we are saved by grace alone, and God will not send good people to hell.”

But by whose standards is good?

Sadly, while it is true that salvation is by God’s grace alone, His grace does not override justice, if it did, He would of had no reason to suffer as He did to save us.

Therefore, it is by faith alone that one is saved, that by believing on Jesus Christ and what He has done, His spilled blood and suffering, one’s eternal future is justified.

It is a free gift, but one must receive it, believe, and walk in it.

If someone gives you a gift, but you walk away and leave it gift wrapped on the table. you won’t receive it.

Therefore, take this amazing gift of life, unwrap so that you can receive it and believe it.

Salvation comes not by what one knows, but who he knows, through relationship with Christ Jesus.

But “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

My beloved good deeds, knowledge, and good works are good, but cannot save anyone, nor can any religious acts or church attendance, nor money nor status. Nor can anyone find salvation through any other means or person living or dead, only through Jesus can anyone come to our Father in heaven JOHN 14:6).

He is the coming judge who will ultimately decide your and my eternal future.

“But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””

‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭8‬-‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

All glory to God forever and ever! Amen
