For The Word Of God Is Alive And Active And Sharper Than Any Double-Edged Sword
The Word Always Achieves What God Sent It To Do
HEBREWS 4:12-13
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”
Hebrews 4:12-13 NKJV

The Word of God is not just a collection of words from God or a vehicle for communicating with Him; His Word is alive, powerful, dynamic, and life changing, as it works within us.
For, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
John 1:1-5 NKJV
These verses reveal the deity of the Christ and the awesome power of Gods Word.
God created all things simply by speaking it out, and “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.”
Hebrews 11:3 NKJV
The Word is written in a book, and by reading it and taking it in, we can gain knowledge, but understanding can only come from God Himself as He reveals Himself and His plans and purposes to us through it.
As we read and speak it over ourselves, it works from within to bring active change within us as it reveals who we really are and what needs to change.
God’s Word never fails, for the Lord spoke through the prophet Isaiah, saying , “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
Isaiah 55:11 NKJV
With the precision of a surgeon's knife, God's Word reveals who we really are. It penetrates the core of our spiritual life, exposing our every thought, our fantasies, desires and motives. It discerns what is within us, both good and evil.
The demands of God's Word require decisions.
We believers must not only listen to the Word, we must receive it, take in, chew it over and digest it; we must allow it to shape our lives, and then we must put into practice everything that we learn from it into our everyday lives.
God knows absolutely everything about everyone everywhere, nothing can be hidden from God and everything is wide open to His all seeing eyes. Furthermore, He and only He is the One to whom we are all accountable.
He sees everything we do and knows what we think, even when we are unaware of His presence.
He misses nothing. We can't hide from God, and it's impossible to keep anything secret from Him.
However it is very comforting to know that despite all our faults and failures He loves us anyway and is changing even the way we think, those who present themselves a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to Him; those who do not conform to this world, but rather become transformed by the renewing of their minds, and come to understand what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God(ROMANS 12:1-2).
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:31-39 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
