The Lord Is Not Slow In Keeping His Promise, Instead He Is Patient With You, Not Wanting Anyone To Perish, But Everyone To Come To Repentance

As In The Day Of Noah

2 PETER 3:9-10

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.”

‭‭II Peter‬ ‭3:9-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We believers all know someone, a neighbour, friend, family, members, sons or daughters, or loved ones that are unbelievers, or just don't understand how important it is to turn to God.

Furthermore, sadly we know many people will perish; in fact two thirds of the people in the land will be cut off and die,  (ZECHARIAH 13:7-9), which is very worrying for us all.

But thankfully, God is not slow in bringing judgment, but rather He is patient, for He wants no one to perish, but for all to come to Him in repentance.

Furthermore, God’s promise of salvation extends to our offspring and their offspring (ISAIAH 44:3-5; 59:21; PSALM 102:28; PSALM 112:1-2 ACTS 2: 38-39).

However my brethren, we should live each day like it is the last, being ready for Jesus’ return, yet at the same time planning for another day; for no one knows  either the day or the hour of the LORD (MATHEW 24:36).

We believers are called to use every opportunity to share the Good News, to help those in need, to encourage and support one another other in the faith, praising God and praying in the Spirit, shining for Christ by displaying the joy and peace that God has given us. For it is the fruits of the Holy Spirit in you (GALATIANS 5:16-26) that will plant and cultivate the seeds of truth that save, and it's doing God's will constantly holding your peace with a positive and joyful attitude, even through your trials and challenges, that will bring your loved ones to the Lordship of Christ.

They will see how you are different!

But for others to see the fruits of the Spirit in us, we must cooperate with God and walk in the Spirit, as not to fulfill the lust of the flesh (GALATIANS 5:16), for those who are Christ’ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires (GALATIANS 5:24).

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬

My beloved, over two thousand years has passed since the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and many are mocking Him, saying, “where is your God?”

But each day is one day closer to His day of judgment.

Be ready! For the beginning of sorrows has passed through (MATHEW 24), and the hour of the Lord is fast approaching.

Jesus said, ““But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24‬:‭36‬-‭44‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
