God Is Faithful; He Will Not Let You Be Tempted Beyond What You Can Bear
God Always Gives Us A Righteous Route
1 CORINTHIANS 10:13
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

This verse is a famous biblical promise assuring believers that God will not allow them to face temptations greater than they can bear. It means that no struggle is unique, and God will always provide a way to resist sin and endure the test.
Your struggles with sin are universal. Every temptation you face is a normal part of the shared human experience.
God is dependable. He places a limit on the intensity and severity of the temptations you face, ensuring they never entirely break your capacity to choose righteousness.
God doesn't just leave you in the struggle. Alongside the temptation, He always supplies an exit route so you do not have to give in to sin.
The "way of escape" does not always mean instantly removing you from the difficult situation. Often, it provides the spiritual strength to stand firm and overcome the desire to sin.
In the broader passage (1 Corinthians 10:1-12), Paul references the ancient Israelites wandering in the wilderness. They frequently gave into temptation—such as grumbling, idolatry, and sexual immorality—and suffered the consequences. Paul offers this verse as a reminder that Christians do not need to repeat this pattern; through God’s faithfulness, they have the power to resist all sin.
Many differentiate between trials, hardships like losing a job or getting sick, which can be overwhelming, and temptations to sin, which God guarantees are always resistible.
Christian leaders often highlight biblical examples of taking the "way of escape," such as Joseph fleeing from Potiphar's wife (Genesis 39), emphasizing that taking the escape route sometimes requires active obedience, like literally running away from the situation.
Sin has always been an issue for mankind, but prevention is always better than cure. Therefore, keep a distance from the places that draw you into temptation.
