1 JOHN 4:16
“And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

This verse explains that God's very nature is love, and when people choose to live in a loving way, they share a close, active connection with God.
Believers do not just know about God intellectually; they have experienced His love personally and put their trust in His loving nature.
Love is the core of who God is, meaning all true, unconditional love comes directly from Him. We humans can only love others because God loved us first (1 JOHN 4:19).
To "abide" or live in love means to make love the constant environment of your life, which keeps you in active fellowship with God.
When a person loves others the way God does, God makes His home inside that person's life.
My beloved, make your decisions, responses, and daily life be grounded in the selfless, unconditional love of Jesus Christ, and walk in it.
