Not Every Seed Shall Flourish

Here, Jesus is urging people to look past surface-level hearing and truly understand and obey His spiritual message.
He finishes telling the Parable of the Sower (or the soils), where a farmer scatters seeds on different types of ground.
The seed stands for the word of God, and the different soils stand for different types of human hearts.
Not every seed roots in good soil and flourishes, and not everyone is going to continue to grow in Christ. Many will fall way shortly after receiving the message-not every fish in the sea are good fish, no matter how good they look, some have a very nasty sting or bite, and we will face those creatures at times.
Jesus ends the story in Mark 4:9 by stating, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"
Everyone in the crowd has physical ears, but Jesus is asking for spiritual attentiveness and deep thought, not just a passive sound reception.
The message shows that understanding God's truth depends on whether a person's heart is open, humble, and ready to change.
"Hearing" in this biblical context means more than just listening; it means putting the truth into practice, becoming a member of Christ’s body of believers and obeying what Jesus teaches. His truth will take true believers into a life of service and devotion to God.
“And He (Jesus) Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”
