This verse defines biblical love (agape) as an active, selfless choice rather than a mere feeling. Love is the foundation of Jesus way of life. “Hang on these two". Jesus used this phrase to mean that all the specific rules, regulations, and moral teachings in the scriptures take their meaning from these two principles. If you perfectly practice love for God and love for your fellow human, you fulfill the entire purpose of the law.
