Listen Before You Speak

JAMES 1:19
“So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
”‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬

Here, James instructs believers, to be "quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry". It provides foundational advice for fostering better communication and managing emotions in relationships, promoting patience and intentionality in speech.
What one speaks out has power- “Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.”
‭‭James‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
James tells us that both blessing and cursing come out of the same mouth, which James declares "ought not to be so". This verse highlights the heavy contradiction of praising God while simultaneously speaking ill of other people.
Believers often use their words to worship God, yet turn around to insult or hurt human beings.
James points out that humans are made in God's likeness, making it wrong to curse them with the same voice used to honour God.

Just as a spring cannot push out both fresh water and salty water, a person's life should not produce both good and harmful speech.
He tells us in a larger section (James 3:1–12) how difficult it is to control what we say.
True faith requires your daily words to match your spiritual profession and show respect to everyone around you.
“So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
All glory be to God forever and ever! Amen.
Please share with our brothers and sisters all around the world.
