Let Us Not Become Weary In Doing Good, For At The Proper Time We Will Reap A Harvest If We Do Not Give Up
Perseverance Produces The Harvest
GALATIANS 6:9
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Here, the apostle Paul, uses farming imagery to encourage believers to keep practicing kindness, charity, and persistence in their faith and ministry, promising that consistent effort will eventually bring a rewarding outcome if they refuse to quit.
Paul compares human actions to planting seeds. Doing good acts is "sowing," and the eventual result or blessing is the "harvest".
The verse acknowledges a very human reality—that persistent effort can lead to physical, emotional, or spiritual exhaustion (growing weary).
The harvest does not always appear immediately. The reward or positive change arrives at the right, appointed time chosen by God, requiring patience and endurance.
The ultimate promise of a harvest is contingent on perseverance—refusing to faint or lose heart mid-way through the process.
It serves as a reminder not to give up or stop being kind or helpful just because your efforts go unnoticed or unappreciated.
Immediately following in verse 10, Paul specifies that this applies to helping everyone, with a special focus on fellow members of the faith community.
Therefore, my beloved, the message today is, “let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.”
