For Their Is One God And One Mediator Between God And Mankind, The Man Christ Jesus

The Ransom For All People

1 TIMOTHY 2:1-7
“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying— a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
”‭‭I Timothy‬ ‭2:1-7‬ ‭NKJV‬

There has never been such a time as this; we have seen nation rise against nation, extreme weather conditions, lawlessness, corruption, sexual immorality, terrorism, man made pestilence, and all kinds of mandates and rules, and much sin in today’s world is seen as righteousness, including same sex marriage and even abortion; some people even joining in marriage with animals.
Surely my beloved, this cannot continue for much longer.
Jesus said, “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24‬:‭4‬-‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬
The “beginning of sorrows” has passed and our world is on a slippery slope to its coming end.
However, we believers are blessed because our all powerful God has chosen to help us through the troubles of today through prayer and fasting.
How this works is a mystery to us because of our limited understanding. But Paul based his instruction about prayer for everyone on his conviction that God's invitation for salvation extends equality to all people comes from God’s love.
The world that God loves includes every single person; He loves us as individuals whom He chooses to know intimately (PSALM 139:13-18).
The truth is, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”
‭‭II Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬
Paul urges us to pray for all people, for our earnest prayer will have powerful results (JAMES 5:16).
We should pray for all those in authority around the world so that their societies will be conducive to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Paul's command to pray for kings is a remarkable consideration that Nero, a notorious cruel ruler, was emperor at this time (AD 54-68).
When Paul wrote this letter, persecution and corruption just like in our world today, was more than a growing threat.
Later, when Nero needed a scapegoat for the great fire that destroyed much of Rome in AD 64, he blamed the Roman Christians so as to take the focus away from himself; much like our world leadership today who are forever passing the blame for their foolishness and corrupt works onto the righteous.
Back then persecution erupted throughout the Roman Empire. Not only were Christians denied certain privileges in society, some were publicly butchered or burned.
But it is encouraging that both Peter and Paul said that God wants everyone to be saved, that doesn't mean everybody will be, because the bible makes it clear that many will reject Christ (MATHEW 25:31-46, JOHN 12:44-50, HEBREWS 10:26-29).
We have never lived in times such as this; our governments are becoming more and more corrupt and persecution against Christians is growing.
In today’s world, pestilence has been and is being used as a tool to control people by driving fear throughout the nations.
Furthermore, our corrupt governments are trying to break the world monetary systems so that they can bring about their plan of the “New World Order”; One government, one religion, and one cashless monetary system.
The ultimate goal of the devil is to prepare the people to accept and inflict the mark of the beast-an ID implant that declares “ownership”, of the people to himself. Furthermore, without such an implant, people will not be allowed to work, buy or sell anything. It’s number is 666 (see REVELATION 13:16-18).
It will become impossible to operate or trade or purchase one’s daily needs without the implant.
The last few years has been preparing the people to simply accept the so called mandates of tomorrow as they did through the so called pandemic.
My beloved, we must pray continually; though there are some things prayer will not stop, for what is written shall come to pass.
God has allowed these things as a part of His ultimate plan of creation and our eternal future where sin will be no more and death and sorrow will be gone forever (REVELATION 21:3-4).
But however, prayer will empower us to remain standing through the coming storm as the world is being shaken. While the devil brings evil, truth will be revealed and justice will come; many will give themselves to Christ in a final revival of the church as God reaches out to His people in these last days.
I see ropes hanging down from the heavens for His people to hold on firmly as He shake’s this world to expose the truth. But long enough that the wicked shall hang themselves with them as their lies are exposed.
The Good News is, God wins! He is in control, and His promise of salvation is not directed to only one race, one sex, or one national background.
No one is out of reach of God’s mercy, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
But we do need to be ready for Christ return.
“”But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24‬:‭36‬-‭37‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Therefore my brethren, be ready; whilst planning with wisdom for tomorrow, live today as it is your last with fear of the Lord.
Jesus said, “For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:38-42‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Many people think there are many ways to God. In practice, each of us must choose a single way.
We can stand on one side of a gorge and discuss the possibility of many bridges across the abyss, but if determined to cross, we will have to commit to one bridge.
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me (JOHN 14:6).
Jesus is the only way! We know that because it is written. Their is but one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity-the man Christ Jesus.
It is He alone who paid the debt of sin on a cross and on the third was risen (1 CORINTHIANS 25:4).
Not only did He pay your debt of sin, but He defeated death and was risen.
No other god, religious organisation, or faith dealt with the curse of sin.
Many believe that God won’t send “nice people” to hell because it is by grace that one is saved.
But unfortunately, unless one receives Jesus gift of life by applying the spilt blood of Christ to their life through faith, He or she will not see the Kingdom of God.
My beloved, grace does not override justice, if it did, Jesus would not of needed to die a painful death on a cross.
Sin justified death, but Jesus justified life by His blood, that by His grace, all who believe on Him shall be saved.
“But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭8‬-‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
My beloved, commit your life to Christ today, for tomorrow may well be too late.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
