We Are Citizens Of Heaven
COLOSSIANS 3:1

This verse refers to the spiritual rebirth and new identity believers receive through faith and baptism, becoming citizens of heaven, moving from their old worldly life of sin into a new spiritual reality.
Christians are called to actively pursue heavenly values, eternal goals, and the character of Jesus rather than getting consumed by temporary worldly desires.
The words “seated at the right hand of God” signifies Jesus' ultimate authority, victory, and place of honor in heaven. Because Christ rules there, believers look to Him as their true source of power and authority.
Believers should align their daily thoughts, decisions, and priorities with God's kingdom instead of earthly status or temporary pressures.
This verse acts as a bridge in Paul's letter, moving from deep theological truths about who believers are in Christ to practical instructions on how to live—such as putting away anger, dishonesty, and selfishness in the verses that follow.
