A Call From God
HOSEA 10:12
“Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the LORD, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.”

This verse is a biblical call from God to the nation of Israel (the body of Christ) to repent of their sin, turn away from idolatry, and return to Him before judgment arrives.
The verse tells us, “Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, till He comes and rains righteousness on you."
Fallow ground is hard, dry, unplowed soil that has been neglected and cannot grow crops. This represents a hardened, stubborn human heart that needs to be softened and prepared for God.
Sow for yourselves righteousness is planting seeds of good actions, justice, and obedience to God instead of continuing in sin, harvesting the good results and loving-kindness that God gives when people turn back to Him.
It is time to seek the Lord. This verse is an urgent reminder that repentance cannot wait; the time for action and turning back to God is right now.
The words “Till He comes and rains righteousness on you” tells us that we must “wait on God to pour out His spiritual renewal, blessing, and grace like refreshing rain on dry land.” The blessings will come and with it God’s peace that surpasses all understanding and shall guard our hearts and minds through Christ (PHILIPPIANS 4:7). But the blessings shall follow a season of moulding, shaping, and testing, as God reshapes our thinking and transforms us into the image of our Lord and Saviour.
For many a new season awaits and new doors are opening after years of painful bondage, for God is doing a new thing (ISAIAH 43:18-19). But if we are to rise with Him, we must first die with Him. We must die to our sinful past and rise in the image of our Lord and Saviour.
“This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him. If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.”
II Timothy 2:11-13 NKJV
Verse 11 tells that if we died with Him, we will also live with Him.
Verse 12 says that enduring or suffering means sharing in Christ's rule.
But there’s a warning here, for the second half of verse 12 warns us that denying Him leads to being denied by Him.
