Those Who Hope In The Lord Will Renew Their Strength. They Will Sour On Wings Like Eagles; They Will Run & Not Grow Weary
Take Your Dream, Vision, Or God Given Goal, To The Highest Mountain
ISAIAH 40:29-31
“He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:29-31 NKJV

God’s is Almighty and all powerful; in fact their is no other like Him; He has no equal nor rival-His name is above every other name, and no one or any other power can even slightly compare with Him, and He shall reign forever.
Surely, we are truly blessed my brethren, because He cares for us individually, and He is faithful, true, and victorious in everything He does.
Isaiah describes God’s power to create, sustain, and help as unmeasurable (12-31).
God never lets us down, He hears our every call, for nothing is too big for Him, or indeed too small, and He is forever faithful to help in our times of need.
Not necessarily in a way that we want or expect, but in a way that is best for us long-term, because unlike us humans, He sees the whole picture, not just part, and our salvation is His number one goal.
My beloved, He wants no one to perish, but for all to come to repentance (2 PETER 3:9).
Even the strongest and fittest of people get tired, but God’s power never diminishes.
He is never too tired or busy to listen and help.
When you feel the weight of the world crushing down on you, when you are so tired you can’t take another step. When your every resource has been depleted, you can call upon the name of the Lord to renew your strength, to lift you up into a new lease of life, to make every provision you need; and all you need do is ask (JOHN 14:14).
The truth is, with as little as a mustard seed of faith, you will say to this mountain, “move from here to there,” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you (MATHEW 17:20).
But in every situation, everything is subject to God’s perfect timing, and is designed to build patience and faith.
“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:28-31 NKJV
My beloved, we all eventually submit from the bottom of the pit, when we have depleted all other options and have become broken, fearful, and depressed. But prevention is always better than cure.
Maybe, if you had prayed into that project you started in the planning, much of problems you are facing today wouldn’t even exist, your funds wouldn’t of depleted and your business wouldn’t of failed and your ministry would be on fire.
My beloved , don’t say, “I don’t have time to pray.” If you are short of time, you need God’s help even more.
Therefore, start your day in prayer, indeed “pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.”
I Thessalonians 5:17-19, 21-22NKJV
To wait on the Lord is being patient with the confident expectation that God will fulfil His promises in His word; that He will make a way in His perfect timing, and that He will strengthen you to rise above all life’s challenges.
So often we humans get inpatient and do it “my way.” That might seem to work at the time, but the outcome is likely to be temporary because without God we can do nothing good and lasting.
The stress of life challenges our relationships, marriages break, and anxiety/ depression moves in.
Furthermore, without God, the work is likely to be tiresome, problematic, difficult and is most likely not according to God’s plans purposes, and a waist of valuable time.
When one chooses his own way, God stands back and allows free will to get on with it. But the truth is, we soon come to realise we humans can do nothing good in our own strength, and like Jonah, we might even find ourselves in the belly of a giant fish, only to be spat out and then sent back out to do Gods will as originally instructed (JONAH 1-3).
My beloved, we all need Jesus!
So often when we do it “our way”; our yoke becomes heavy and all too often we undermine God’s work In not just ourselves, but others too.
Our disobedience opens doors to the devil and takes us around and around the same roundabout of despair, stress, anxiety, and all kinds of problems.
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
James 4:7-10 NKJV
It’s wise to submit before we have depleted all our resources, but so often our pride and fear takes us to the bottom of the pit before we realise that the only way left is Jesus way.
Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.””
Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV
My beloved, Jesus way is the only way that works, for He is the way, the truth, and the life; He is the only way to our Father in heaven (JOHN 14:6).
There is no other alternative to Jesus, His is the only truth to be relied upon and only way to our Father in heaven and life everlasting.
James tells us, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”
James 1:2-8 NKJV
Our trials and challenges come with purpose and by design to build our faith and patience; for when our patience has done it’s perfect work, you shall become perfect, complete, and in need of nothing.
Our trials and challenges change the way we think; they teach us to trust God and build our faith.
Whilst building our faith, they remove all conceit and pride from our hearts. They bring transformation that we become Christ like in our thinking, our actions, and responses. They teach us what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (ROMANS 12:1-2).
My beloved, we can learn from this story of the eagle, which has the longest life-span of its species. It can live up to 70 years.
But to reach this age, the eagle must make a very difficult decision!
In its 40th year, the eagle’s long and flexible Talons can no longer grab a prey which serves as food.
Its long and sharp beak becomes bent.
Its old-aged and heavy wings, due to their thick feathers, stick to its chest and make it difficult to fly.
Then, the eagle is left with only two options, to die or go through a painful process of rebirth and change.
In the same way, we humans have two options, to die or go through the painful process of rebirth and change that brings life everlasting.
The process for the eagle lasts for 150 days.
It requires the eagle to fly to a mountain top and sit on its nest. There the eagle knocks its beak against a rock until it plucks it out.
Then the eagle will wait for the new beak to grow back after which it will pluck out its talons. When its talons grow back, the eagle starts plucking its old-aged feathers.
And after this, the eagle takes a step of faith, stepping off the mountain top into flight.
It may tumble down even hitting rocks, but before it hits very bottom, but it shall rise and lift up into a new lease of life.
We humans can learn much from this story of the eagle.
To survive and live. We too have to start the process of change that only comes through Christ.
Like the eagles path is painful, so is the human path of change.
We sometimes need to get rid of the unpleasant old memories, negative habits and our fixed mindset.
Only Freed from the past burdens can we take advantage of the present.
Like the eagle makes a life saving and life-changing decision, so must we humans.
In order to take on a New Journey ahead with Christ, let go of your negative old limiting beliefs, and put your trust in our unlimited, all powerful, Almighty God.
Open up your mind and let yourself fly high like an eagle!
When it rains, all birds occupy shelter. But the eagle avoids the rain by flying above the clouds.
Therefore, “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.”
Colossians 3:2-4 NKJV
My beloved, take your God given dream, vision, or ambition, whether ministry, business, or any other God given goal to the highest place and wait.
The painful process of preparation and change shall begin, “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”
Philippians 1:6 NKJV
Yes wait on the Lord until the Holy Spirit convicts you to take a leap of faith.
You may well tumble and fall, even painfully hitting the rocks on the way down, but before crashing to the rocks at the bottom, God will lift you up into the victory and success. He shall renew your strength and mount you up with wings like eagles, you shall run and not be weary, you shall walk and not faint, and the victory shall be yours through Christ Jesus who is your strength (1 CORINTHIANS 25:57).
As I have told you before and I tell you again, ““Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
