True Humility And Fear Of The Lord Lead To Riches, Honor, & Long Life
Don't Worry About Your Life
PROVERBS 22:1-4
“A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor rather than silver and gold. The rich and the poor have this in common, The LORD is the maker of them all. A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished. By humility and the fear of the LORD Are riches and honor and life.

The idea that fear of the Lord leads to riches, honor, and life, may have been applicable to an obedient Israelite in Solomon’s time.
However, some have been martyrs at a young age, and some have given away their wealth for the sake of God’s Kingdom.
The truth is, reputation is far more important than riches.
We Spirit filled believers are ambassadors of Christ (2 CORINTHIANS 5:20), and we must be seen to act as such, representing the Lord in all things.
It is through our Christ like behaviour that we shine for Christ (PHILIPPIANS 2:15; DANIEL 12:3) and attract unbelievers to His throne.
The truth is, God’s loving favor is far greater than any amount of silver or gold.
Whether rich or poor in this life, we believers all have one thing in common. God loves us all, we are all His treasured possessions (DEUTERONOMY 7:6; 1 PETER 2:9), and have a great inheritance of riches and honor beyond all money or imagination.
Whilst the thief, came only to steel, and to kill, and to destroy, Jesus came to give you life, that you may have it more abundantly (JOHN 10:10).
He gives us eternal life, and in ten thousand years time, when we are living out the promises of God, we won’t be worrying about the trials and challenges of life that we believers are facing today.
No, we will be looking forward to unlimited years of paradise that will never end.
The truth is, we believers are all more than millionaires in the making.
It’s not wrong to be wealthy, indeed “Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.”
Genesis 13:2 NKJV.
But God often holds back riches. “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”
I Timothy 6:10 NKJV
God will not give you anything that might be damaging to you or your salvation; He will not give you that which you cannot handle.
But whatever your wealth, your health, your work status, your education or your IQ, whatever your sinful past, country of origin, as a believer of Christ, you have a great inheritance awaiting you, whether in this life or the next; good health, wealth, peace and joy in Christ.
My beloved, even to every provision, we can stand on the promises of God.
““Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
Matthew 6:25-34 NKJV
When Jesus said ALL will be added to you, He ment every word. But you have to choose, you can put your trust in the things of this world, career, position, status, money, and even people, or you can seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
Everything of the world is temporary and shall bring only temporary provisions and status, but God’s provisions are eternal and will continue forever.
Truly I tell you again and again,
“”Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV
My beloved regardless of the trials of this life, they will all pass, for the victory is already yours in Christ.
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:31-39 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
