We Have Everything We Need To Live A Life That Pleases God
Partakers Of His Divine Nature
2 PETER 1-4
“Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

Here, Peter tells us that God gives believers great and precious promises so they can turn away from worldly sin and share in His holy character.
God gives gifts and promises through Jesus Christ. These promises include forgiveness of sins, eternal life, and the help of the Holy Spirit. They are completely reliable and give believers a confident hope for the future, along with lasting peace and joy in the chaos of this this world, driven by God's grace.
To "share in the divine nature" means to reflect God's good and holy character. It does not mean humans become gods or lose their human identity, but rather, they grow to love what God loves, showing kindness, patience, and righteousness.
The world is ruined by selfish, evil, and sinful desires.
Believers use God's truth and promises to break free from these destructive habits, knowing God helps people choose a clean and holy life through the leading of the Holy Spirit, instead of giving in to temptation (GALATIANS 5:16-26).
