Whatever You Have Received Or Heard From Me, Or Seen In Me-Put It Into Practice. And The Glory Of Peace Will Be With You
How To Follow Christ
“The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.”
Philippians 4:9 NKJV

Here, Paul instructs believers to actively put into daily practice the godly teachings, actions, and lifestyle they learned from the Apostle Paul, promising that the "God of peace" will be with them.
He said, "What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me”, which points to his comprehensive ministry—everything the Philippians were taught orally, received in writing, heard in his messages, and personally observed in his behavior. He set a concrete, living example of how to follow Christ.
He went on to say, “practice these things". The Greek framing calls for continuous, habitual action. Faith is not just an intellectual belief or a temporary effort; it requires daily, active obedience and lifestyle implementation.
Obedience brings a profound result. Paul promises the actual presence of God, the source of all peace, harmony, and tranquility, not just a vague sense of calm.
Found near the end of Paul's letter from prison to the church in Philippi, this verse follows instructions to replace anxiety with prayer (verse 6) and to focus thoughts on noble, pure, and praiseworthy things (verse 8). It also builds on resolving relational conflict and maintaining unity within the community.
Paul uses himself as a template, essentially repeating his common theme: "Follow my example, as I follow Christ".
Consistent, practical obedience aligns a person's life with God's character, transforming chaotic or anxious environments into places where God's peaceful presence dwells and excels.
All glory be to God forever and ever! Amen.
Please share to our brothers and sisters all around the world.
