But As The Days Of Noah
The Coming Judgement
MATHEW 24:37-39
“But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
”Matthew 24:37-39 NKJV

Jesus compares the unexpected coming of the Son of Man to the days of Noah, when people ate, drank, and married until the flood swept them away.
God is warning us not to be like those in the days of Noah.
In Luke 17:26–27 (NKJV) the Scripture simalary describes people continuing their daily routines of eating, drinking, and marrying right up until Noah entered the ark and the flood destroyed them.
People before the flood went about their everyday lives completely unaware or complacent of the warnings of the coming flood, which actually was the coming judgement.
Sadly, that is where many believers are today. They speak out the return of Jesus, but they don’t expect it will happen in their lifetime.
The flood arrived suddenly and took everyone by surprise because they ignored the warnings, and the same will happen to many when Christ returns.
In the story of Noah's Ark (Genesis 6–9), the word judgment represents God’s moral response to widespread human corruption and violence by sending a global flood to wipe out the wicked corrupt, world from leadership down to every last person.
According to Genesis 6:5-7, God observed that human wickedness was great and every intent of the heart was continually evil, leading the Creator to act as a righteous judge over society.
The story illustrates that God’s judgment did not wipe out all hope; instead, it was paired with divine mercy and grace. Noah found favour (chen) with God because of his righteousness and obedience. In today’s world, we believers are not under the Law, but God’s grace (Romans 6:14), but we do have to be obedient to the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:1-2).
The physical structure of the ark acted as a vessel of salvation that floated above the waters of judgment. Just as the floodwaters executed judgment on everything outside, the ark shielded Noah, his family, and the animals safely inside.
In the New Testament (Matthew 24:37–38 and 1 Peter 3:20–21), Jesus and the apostles use the flood as a historical template and a warning for a future final judgment, comparing the safety of the ark to both physical and spiritual salvation through faith.
Jesus is our vessel of Salvation. He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6 NKJV
Jesus used this historical event to teach that His future return will happen unexpectedly, urging people to remain spiritually ready and alert.
The message is, while we must still plan for tomorrow, we must live close to Jesus Christ, working on our relationship with Him, like this is the last day.
All glory be to God forever and ever! Amen.
Please share to our brothers and sisters all around the world.
