Be Strong In The Lord And In His Mighty Power
Deliverance Is Key
EPHESIANS 6:10-17
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

We believers are not in a battle with flesh and blood.
In other words, our battles, though it seems like it, is not with people, but rather against the demonic within them, and ultimately, the evil rulers and authorities of the spiritual realms, the evil forces of fallen angels headed by the devil often operating through people, for he is ruthless and viscous, and like a lion is ready to devour (1 PETER 5:8).
To withstand their attacks, we must depend on God’s strength and use every piece of His armor.
Paul’s message was not just for the overall church, but for every individuals within the church.
The whole body needs to be armed and ready for the battles ahead.
As you battle against these powerful rulers of darkness, fight in the strength of the church whose power comes from the Holy Spirit living in us.
That is to join together in prayer, fighting for one another and confessing all sin.
The devil comes at us in many ways, through our finances, relationships, children, health, work, and in any such way he can. But I encourage you, whatever battles you are in, however difficult or impossible they may seem, you have the power of the Holy Spirit living in you; that is the same power that raised Christ from the dead and therefore you already have the victory through Christ who is your strength (1 CORINTHIANS 15:57).
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.”
I John 4:4-6 NKJV
My brethren, the only battle you have with flesh is your own (GALATIANS 5:17).
If we are going to win spiritual battles, we have to be right with God and be free, being strong in the Lord and His power.
We must put our sinful desires to death, along with every past hurt, every curse that has been spoken over us whether by others or ourselves.
We must close the doors to and break all generational curses and all acts of witchcraft.
We must be sure of our salvation and who we are in Christ, walking in faith, and battling with the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
We must put to death all offence, and forgive all who have wronged us and remove every lie the devil has put in us, having girded your waist with truth.
We cannot live a life of fantasy and lies, for it is the truth that sets us free (JOHN 8:31-32).
We must put on the the breastplate of righteousness, that you can confront the enemy and his evil schemes.
I tell you the truth, when you stand in the Word, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.”
Isaiah 54:17 NKJV
God didn’t give us a back plate to run from the enemy, but rather a breast plate to confront.
Running from our issues opens the door to be stabbed in the back with the fiery arrows of the devil.
Running is fear and is the opposite of faith, of which without, we cannot please God (HEBREWS 11:6).
Fear, like every sin opens doors to the devil. “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
James 4:7 NKJV
To gain full healing, we must cut every ungodly soul tie, and confront our hurts and scars of our past, for all these things are doorways that give access to the demonic to influence our souls, our very minds, will, and emotions.
But we cannot do that in our own strength.
Deep healing is often necessary to break every chain of bondage and bring lasting deliverance, healing, and ultimately peace.
Deep healing is a process that brings deep spiritual cleansing and breaks curses such as poverty, torment, loneliness, and curses that destroy relationships, block conception and bring miscarriage, death, accident, and many other issues of life that the devil inflicts on us.
Deliverance can remove fear, dependency, anxieties, depression, infirmity, mental health issues, learning difficulties, and disabilities and all health conditions.
Furthermore, the deep healing process reveals the way in which the demonic enters and ultimately closes those doors.
My beloved, through the process, God is able to heal the scars and remove all guilt and shame, by dealing with the past and applying His Word.
It is a simple process that can get one off the roundabout of the same old situations of pain and despair, and can open doors for you to move forward and grow into your new life in Christ and make you strong in the Lord.
But “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:1-5 NKJV
The devil and his army are never far away, looking for opportunities to devour (1 PETER 5:8).
They listen in to your conversations and even your prayers, watching for mistakes, looking for ways to oppress and confuse or mislead, and bring testing that may cause you to slip back (JOB 1:6-12).
Sin let’s the devil in and ones flesh is a home to the demonic.
Your sin to the devil is a doorway into your flesh that ultimately allows these devils to influence your decisions, responses, and even beliefs.
But even when free, one’s flesh has a sinful nature, and therefore, you shall still have sinful thoughts and daily repentance is necessary to stay right with God and keep the doors closed.
Having said that, as a mature Spirit filled believer, repentance should not be because of deliberate sin, but rather just in case we made a mistake.
My beloved, we are all sinners and no one can live righteously without the Holy Spirit who lives in us to help us and lead us in all truth (JOHN 24;15-16; 16:13-15).
God has made a way where there was no way by settling our debt on a cross. Furthermore, He has sent His Holy Spirit to help you live right with Him and who is also our guarantee of salvation (EPHESIANS 1:14; 2 CORINTHIANS.
He paid it all and it is encouraging to know that “the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.””
Acts 2:39 NKJV
But God doesn’t take away one’s free will; we can walk to satisfy the lust of flesh and produce only worldly fruits that lead to death. Or we can choose to walk in the Spirit and produce godly fruits and life everlasting.
“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”
Galatians 5:16-26 NKJV
