"For I Know The Plans I Have For You," Says The Lord." They Are Plans For Good And Not For Disaster, To Give You A Future And A Hope
The Battle Is Not With Flesh And Blood
JEREMIAH 29:11-14
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.
”Jeremiah 29:11-14 NKJV

We are all encouraged by a leader who stirs us to move ahead, a leader who believes we can do the task he has given us, a leader who is with us all the way.
Jesus is that kind of leader. He knows the future, and His plans for us are good and full of hope.
God, who knows the future, provides our agendas and goes with us and empowers us to fulfil His mission (PHILIPPIANS 2:13). As a result we can have boundless hope. It’s not I that does it, but Christ who lives in me (JOHN 14: 15-18).
This does not mean that we will be spared pain, suffering, and hardship, but God will see us through to a glorious conclusion.
God never forgot His people even though they were captives in Babylon. His plan was to give them a new beginning, with a new purpose-to turn them into a new people, and those plans extend to all believers today.
Sometimes in dire circumstances, it may feel like God has forgotten us. But the truth is, He never leaves or forgets us; although sometimes He stands back to allow us to learn, grow in faith, and become wise-maybe in preparation for what is to come as He did the people of Judah.
According to God's plan, His people were to have a future and a hope, consequently, they could call upon Him in confidence.
Although the exiles were in a difficult place and time, they needed not to despair because they had God's presence, the privilege of prayer, and God's grace.
If we seek Him wholeheartedly, He will be found. Not a strange land, sorrow, persecution, nor any situation at all can break our fellowship with God.
My beloved, their is none like Jesus, His name is above every other name, He has no equal, nor rival, ”Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”“
Acts 4:12 NKJV
Jesus is the only way in this world and the next; He is truth that sets us free; He is the life that defeated death, and He is the only way to our Father in heaven (JOHN 14:6).
Furthermore, it is He who will decide our eternal future.
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:35-39 NKJV
In Old Testament times the battles were very physical outward battles, but today, our battles are sourced from within. “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Ephesians 6:12-20 outlines the Christian’s spiritual warfare, stating that the true enemy is not human ("flesh and blood") but demonic forces.
Paul calls believers to stand firm by putting on the "full armor of God"—truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—to resist evil, culminating in persistent, alert prayer.
My beloved, the fight is against spiritual wickedness and satanic powers of darkness, not people. The goal is to "stand" or hold one’s ground against evil, which requires God’s strength, not human strength (EPHESIANS 6:12-13).
Every sickness, addictions, fear, anxieties, and all mental health issues, along with our trials and challenges are spiritually sourced by demonic powers, unclean spirits and demons.
James said, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
James 4:7 NKJV
The armour of God is spiritual provisions based on God's righteousness, not our own, they are our weapons of defence as we come under attack from these evil entities (EPHESIANS 6:14-17).
The belt of truth represents integrity and the truth of the gospel.
The breastplate of righteousness is God's righteousness that protects believers' hearts.
The feet fitted with the Gospel of Peace is a readiness and firm-footed stability to share the good news.
The shield faith is trusting God to extinguish the "flaming arrows" of the enemy.
The helmet of salvation is trusting in God's saving power.
The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God, used for defense and offence, and helps to bring physical changes in the way we think from within.
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12 NKJV
My beloved, God loves you and has a wonderful plan for you, a plan to give you a future and a hope (JEREMIAH 29:11).
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
