Then I Heard The Voice Of The Lord Saying, Whom Shall I Send? And Who Will Go For us? And I said, "Here I Am, Send Me"
Procrastination, Hesitation, Procrastination, & Rebellion,
ISAIAH 6:8
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.””
Isaiah 6:8 NKJV

"Here am I. Send me!" is a famous response from the prophet Isaiah to God in Isaiah 6:8, signifying voluntary, obedient service.
After being cleansed of sin, Isaiah hears God ask, "Whom shall I send?", to which he immediately volunteers, showing complete dedication and availability.
Isaiah sees God on a throne in the Temple, leading to a profound awareness of his own unworthiness and the holiness of God.
A seraph (angel) cleanses Isaiah's lips with a live coal, symbolizing the forgiveness of his sins and preparing him for the mission.
God asks, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Isaiah responds, "Here am I. Send me!".
The verse highlights a total surrender to God's calling, requiring bravery to act without knowing the full plan.
Sometimes, what God calls upon us do makes no sense; it might not seem biblically sound, and it may be dangerous, but you can be certain, hecwill not send us without preparation, just like Isaiah, those burning coals will touch our lips.
We may well be hesitant, or reluctant to obey because, “we see the possible outcome or its not what I want”; “their is no reward to me”; “I can’t see the benefits”; “it is extremely dangerous”, or “I am uncomfortable”.
But God wants total submission.
Hesitation is dangerous-many road traffic accidents are caused by hesitation, and when God opens doors, it can be for a limited period.
The opportunity may come around again in a few days, weeks, or years, but sometimes the door is closed indefinitely, because He passed you and sent someone else.
We must always have safe guards in place, but if you hesitate, stop and revalidate, and be certain that your mission is from God. Not by the word’s spoke over you or your dream or vision, or your desire, but by testing the spirit that brought the dream, vision, or instruction into your heart.
To test and approve is wise-we must always look both ways before crossing a road. Hesitation is dangerous, often resulting in casualties and fatalities, and procrastination is lazy or even rebellious. Once we know the mission is from God, it is time to say "Yes Lord, I will go, Send me".
Like Isaiah, we all tend to say, “send me”.
But when we see the danger, we are quick to go in the other direction.
My beloved, whatever mission God has for us, whatever He has in store for us, it might not make sense, and may not even seem biblical, and will often push us to our limits, but there will always be good fruits at the end of the mission or test.
If king David hadn't committed adultery with Bathsheba and sent her husband to his death, Solomon would of not become king. Very clearly, God's allowed that to happen to fulfil His plans and purposes-we really do not have a clue what God is doing in our lives. He brings good purpose from every situation (ROMANS 8:28).
Not every place God sends us is a town, city, or country; it can be some kind of issue, action, or situation.
Jonah was instructed to go to Nineveh to deliver a message, but he got scared and run in the other direction, only to be caught up in a storm, thrown overboard, and then swallowed up by a giant fish.
After he had been there for three days and three nights, calling for God’s mercy from within, he was spat out onto a beach only to be told to go Nineveh and give them the message that I sent you to give (JONAH 1-3).
Sometimes God’s instructions are dangerous and scary, but refusing may land you in the belly of a giant fish, to be spat out later and sent again, but for others, they lose a door of opportunity, sometimes for a time, and for some, indefinitely.
My beloved, we Spirit filled believers are one body in Christ, and we are all called serve without question, to do what God sends us to do. “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”
Ephesians 4:11-16 NKJV
Caution is wise, hesitation is dangerous, Procrastination is lazy, and refusal is rebellion.
But by trusting God and saying yes, send me, you will in time, receive a harvest of the very best for you.
All Glory be to God forever and ever! Amen.
