Remember This: Whoever Sows Sparingly Will Also Reap Sparingly, And Whoever Sows Generously Will Also Reap Generously
Be a Cheerful Giver
2 CORINTHIANS 9:6
“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”

2 Corinthians 9:6 tells us that the amount and attitude with which a person gives to others directly determines the measure of blessing and return they will experience in return.
Planting only a few seeds leads to a very small crop. In giving, holding back or being stingy limits the overall impact and blessing.
Sowing bountifully (or generously), widely and openly, leads to a large, generous harvest. Giving freely opens the door to a rich return.
The Apostle Paul wrote this letter around AD 56 to encourage the Corinthian church to fulfill their promise to give money to needy Christians in Jerusalem.
This verse links directly to verse 7, which notes that God loves a cheerful giver rather than someone who gives grudgingly or out of pressure.
Just as a farmer trusts the earth with seed, a generous giver trusts God with their resources, knowing that spiritual and practical rewards follow.
Giving is not simply about money, it is giving time in service, sowing seeds of Salvation, and leading others to the Lord. It is about healing the sick, raising the dead, curing lepers, and casting out demons. Freely you received, therefore freely give (Mathew 10:8-9).
