Seek The Kingdom Of God Above All Else And Live Righteously, And He Will Give You Everything You Need
Not Some, But ALL Shall Be Added To You

This verse tells us to prioritise God’s rule and moral standards over worldly worries. By doing so, you can trust Him to provide your essential daily needs.
The verse breaks this down into three core concepts.
Instead of letting anxiety over food, clothing, or finances consume your thoughts, your primary focus should be on God's sovereign rule. "Seeking" His kingdom means actively aligning your life, decisions, and values with what God desires, treating Him as the ultimate authority.
“And His righteousness” takes us beyond external religious acts; it involves pursuing an authentic lifestyle of inward and outward moral integrity. It means actively working to reflect His justice, love, and character in your everyday relationships and community.
“And all these things shall be added to you” is a promise of provision. It doesn’t just tell us our needs shall be met, it states ALL things shall be added. It acts as the spiritual antidote to worry. When you shift your primary energy from self-sustenance to God’s overarching agenda, He promises to faithfully supply absolutely everything that you truly need.
This verse concludes Jesus' famous teaching on worry in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 6:25–34). While this is not a magical formula for acquiring material wealth or completely avoiding hardship, it is an assurance of God’s daily care. It challenges believers to let their life's priorities be shaped by trusting God's overarching goodness rather than fear of scarcity.
All glory be to God forever and ever! Amen.
