God’s love for believers is intimately personal, tender, and patient—much like a loving parent caring for a vulnerable child.
In the original Hebrew, the word for compassion (racham) is tied to the concept of a mother's womb. It goes beyond a simple feeling of pity to signify a deep, visceral care that motivates action.
The verse likens God's nature to the ideal image of a loving earthly father—one who protects, provides, understands limitations, and gently guides rather than harshly punishing.
In biblical terms, the “fear" mentioned in this verse, does not mean cowering in terror or panic. Instead, it describes a relationship of reverent awe, deep respect, and loving obedience.
Verse fourteen provides the reason for this compassion: "for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust." It means God is deeply empathetic because He is perfectly aware of our human frailties and limitations.
Today’s message is, no matter how far you have fallen into darkness, God loves you and is ready to restore your life.
But to receive, one must submit completely and believe.
All glory be to God forever and ever! Amen
