So Humble Yourselves Before God, Resist The Devil, And He Will Flee From You

Submission Is Paramount

JAMES 4:7
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
”‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬

This verse provides a two-step strategy for spiritual victory. It emphasizes that submission to God’s authority must come first, which empowers you to actively stand against temptation, taking away the devil’s authority over your life and ultimately forcing Satan to back down.
Sin, opens doors for the demonic to enter one’s body, and that person shall become demonised.
Like squatters, they take possession of areas of one’s life bringing all kinds of torment, fear, rebellion, wrong behaviours, health issues, addictions and so on.
But by repentance and total submission, the devil shall lose his hold and on command (MARK 9:25), he shall flee from you.
This requires humility. It means consciously yielding your will, desires, and plans to God, rather than giving in to your own direction, wants, likes, pride, or the temptations of the world.

Anything less than total submission is rebellion and opens doors to the demonic.
“Resist" translates to a firm, unyielding stand against spiritual attacks and temptations. The verse promises that if you actively oppose his influence, the devil has no choice but to retreat.
The passage indicates that these actions go hand in hand; true resistance to temptation is impossible without a foundation of obedience and submission to God.
When saved, the Holy Spirit joins with our spirit and we become one spirit in Christ.
“Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭15‬-‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
When one falls into sexual sin he or she becomes joined to the harlot and the demonic in her.
Jesus paid a high price and without Him you have absolutely no hope nor future.
“Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭12‬-‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

By the indwelling Spirit in you, your place in God’s kingdom is sealed (EPHESIANS 1:13-14), and now He calls you to reach out to the lost, to bring them to Christ, and while you are doing that, heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons, freely you received, therefore freely give (MATHEW 20:5-10).
As we walk in the Spirit, so He manifests Himself through our soul, to bring His good works by the flesh and out of the belly/heart flows rivers of living waters (JOHN 7:38).
But when we fall back into sin, the Spirit retreats from our flesh and remains quiet as He convicts repentance through our spirit. It feels like He has left us, but His promises always stand-He will never leave us orphans (JOHN 14:15-18).
Sin, including the sin of our ancestors lets the devil in, that’s how we gained a sinful nature by the sins of Adam and Eve-it’s generational, but true submission takes away the enemies hand and he shall flee from you.

Service to God is not negotiable-it is God who places us within His body of people where He choses, anoint’s and gifts us with spiritual gifts to live our new life in Christ according to His plans and purposes regardless, not ours.
(1 CORINTHIANS 12).
We cannot cherry pick our likes and dislikes either from the word or in our calling and expect anything from God.
All glory be to God forever and ever! Amen.
Please share to our brothers and sisters all around the world.
