Just As You Cannot Understand The Path Of The Wind, You Cannot Understand The Activity Of God

God Will Make A Way

ECCLESIASTES 11:1-5
“Cast your bread upon the waters, For you will find it after many days. Give a serving to seven, and also to eight, For you do not know what evil will be on the earth. If the clouds are full of rain, They empty themselves upon the earth; And if a tree falls to the south or the north, In the place where the tree falls, there it shall lie. He who observes the wind will not sow, And he who regards the clouds will not reap. As you do not know what is the way of the wind, Or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, So you do not know the works of God who makes everything.
”‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭11:1-5‬ ‭NKJV‬

Solomon, in these verses, summarises that life involves risk and opportunity, and has no guarantees.
We must always be prepared to seize every opportunity that Lord provides and run with every desire He gives us. For it is the Lord who gives us godly desires, and empowers us to do them (PHILIPPIANS 2:13).
God doesn’t just pour out blessings when it comes to our daily needs. But rather gifts us with different abilities to work in our careers, along with spiritual gifts for our individual calling to help and edify the church (1 CORINTHIANS 12).
Furthermore, He gives us opportunities to work, build a career and be active within His ministry. Indeed, if anyone will not work, neither shall he eat (2 THESSALONIANS 3:10-13).
It is not biblical to ask people for provision. When one looks at people for provision he can expect nothing from the Lord, for “”No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.“
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Paul told us, ”Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.“
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬-‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Furthermore, every blessing comes with purpose; He doesn’t give riches simply to line one’s bank account; He won’t bless anyone with blessings that shall cause them to fall. He gives only what one can handle, but guarantees our basic needs, one needs not even ask.
“”Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.“
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭31‬-‭34‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
To cast your bread upon the waters, is to place not just your ministry, but your whole careers, life and income into God’s hands and trust Him with every part of it, including your marriage, family life and children.
Asking people for provision is not trusting God; that is not walking in faith, and without faith, it is impossible to please God (HEBREWS 11:6).
Work to provide not just for seven days each week, but for eight, being ready for those rainy days and to help the needy, for you do not know what calamities we are to face. This is Gods wisdom.
Solomon doesn't support a stingy, despairing attitude. The uncertainty of life doesn't mean we shouldn't do anything. We need to be wise, but adventurous, facing life's risk and opportunities with God-directed enthusiasm and faith.
Waiting for the perfect conditions will mean inactivity. This particularly applies to our spiritual lives.
If we wait for the perfect time, conditions, place, church or ministry to commit ourselves to serving God, we may never serve, but to trust on God’s timing is true wisdom, for His timing is perfect.
Now is the time to commit, for commitment is personal choice, and if the Spirit leads, now is the time to act; the conditions you are waiting for may never exist, but with a mustard seed of faith, you can move the greatest of mountains out of the way of success (MATHEW 17:20).
Every success starts with a dream, but that dream must be of God, and even then, making that dream a reality involves risk. The truth is, we cannot do anything good in our own strength, but by walking in the Spirit, even when it doesn’t make sense or appears foolish, you shall produce good fruits ( GALATIANS 5:16:26). For just as you cannot understand the path of the wind, so you cannot understand the activity of God.
Your dream can be a business, ministry, a project or anything. Pray into it from the beginning, involve God from the planning stage and throughout the whole project.
Take your dream to the the top of the highest mountain, and then take a leap of faith; you may fall and tumble, you may hit the rocks on the way down and be bruised and battered as you come crashing down.
But by holding tight to your faith, by trusting, listening, and involving God, acting by the leading of the Holy Spirit and cooperating with Him, you will succeed; you shall be lifted up, because those who wait on the Lord will find new strength. They shall soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint (ISAIAH 40:31).
My beloved, when you do your best, God will do the rest.
As I told you before, I tell you again, ”“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.“
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
