Here, the Scripture says that God "has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins."
God rescues (Deliverers) believers from the "domain of darkness", which represents the demonic, realm of sin, spiritual blindness, moral corruption, under the authority of Satan.
Believers are actively moved ("transferred" or "conveyed") into the kingdom of Jesus Christ (described as "the Son of His love"). This is not a self-help improvement, but a complete change of citizenship and allegiance accomplished entirely by God's grace.
Redemption refers to paying a ransom price to set a slave or captive free. In this context, freedom from the slave market of sin is purchased through the sacrificial death ("blood") of Jesus Christ on the cross.
True redemption results directly in the complete pardon and wiping away of all guilt, shame, and moral debt before God.
It is very encouraging to know that Jesus covered it all, and while there will always be consequences for our actions in this life, both good and evil, as for all Spirit filled believers, our eternal future is sealed (Ephesians 1:14). Furthermore the promise extends to our children and as many as our loved one and the Lord chooses to call (Acts 2:38-39).
Salvation is not a licence to carry on in sin, in deed quite the opposite-God's Laws have not changes and we believers must make every effort to live right by resisting temptations and walking in obedience to the Holy Spirit. But when we slip back into sin or make mistakes, which we all will and experience the consequences of that, we are covered by the spilt blood of Jesus Christ-our eternal future is sealed by the grace of God because Christ fulfilled the Law on our behalf on a cross.
All glory be to God forever and ever! Amen.
Please share to our brothers and sisters all around the world.
