If You Forgive, Your Father In Heaven Will Forgive You

Through Forgiveness You Are No Longer The Victim, But The Victor

MATHEW 6:14-15
“”For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
”‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:14-15‬ ‭NKJV‬

Forgiveness! It's so important to forgive; we are all victims to someone, but the truth is, if you don't forgive others, your Father will not forgive you.
Furthermore, we have all sinned against someone somewhere and are all in need of forgiveness.
When someone sins against you, you become “the victim," of that person who wronged you, and he or she owes you some kind of compensation, and naturally you want justice and even revenge!
But have you thought about those who you have wronged, just like those sinners who sinned against you; you are a sinner too, and we all need our Fathers forgiveness-our salvation depends on it.
Furthermore, Jesus already paid their debt in full with His own blood, that they might turn to Him in repentance, for the Lord wants no one to perish but for all to turn to Him in repentance (2 PETER 3:9).
My brethren, you must forgive, but that doesn't mean you have to be their best friend, or like, or that you should continue to be their victim. It means that you have freed them from the debt and moved on, leaving all judgements in God’s mighty hands.
Jesus died for each of us to free us from the debt of sin and by doing so, He gave each and everyone world wide the opportunity of forgiveness and life everlasting, that includes those who sinned against you.
Therefore my beloved, leave the revenge to God, for it is written “Revenge is My mine” (DEUTERONOMY 32:35; ROMANS 12:18).
Only God has the right to judge and He will. Jesus will bring all judgment when He returns.
When you forgive, you let go of the debt and cut the tie that makes you the “victim”. No more are you the “victim” but become the “victor”.
No longer do you need to dwell on what happened, you are free to move on-but most importantly, your Father will forgive you of whatever bad things you have done.
If you seek revenge, you are hating that person. “Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.”
‭‭I John‬ ‭3:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
The truth is, no one can be right with God until all revenge has gone and total forgiveness is in place.
Most of you would of experienced some awful suffering at the hands of others, and we all know just how difficult it is to forgive such things.
But you are not alone; if you pray and tell God, "I am willing to forgive, but I can't do it in my own strength, or abilities, please teach me, empower me, and change me that I can.”
God is faithful to deal with every issue in your life including un-forgiveness. He is faithful to transform all who cooperate with Him by the renewing of their minds, that they may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (ROMANS 12:1-2).
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
