Let Justice Roll On Like A River

Let Your Song Be More Than A Noise

AMOS 5:18:24
“Woe to you who desire the day of the LORD! For what good is the day of the LORD to you? It will be darkness, and not light. It will be as though a man fled from a lion, And a bear met him! Or as though he went into the house, Leaned his hand on the wall, And a serpent bit him! Is not the day of the LORD darkness, and not light? Is it not very dark, with no brightness in it? “I hate, I despise your feast days, And I do not savor your sacred assemblies. Though you offer Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings, I will not accept them, Nor will I regard your fattened peace offerings. Take away from Me the noise of your songs, For I will not hear the melody of your stringed instruments. But let justice run down like water, And righteousness like a mighty stream.
”‭‭Amos‬ ‭5:18-24‬ ‭NKJV‬

These people were calling for the day of the Lord, but they were living in darkness and their worship was fake. Their songs of praise was nothing more than a “noise”. They did not understand what they was wishing for, for these lawless people foolishly thought that they were saved, but were heading toward God’s judgement.
Many Christians today, attend church, sing praises to God, but carry on living in the same old lies and deceit; they don’t make the effort to know Christ or walk in true repentance.
Many are deceived by false religion or lack of true understanding that can only be revealed by God.
He told us through His prophet, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. “The more they increased, The more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame.”
‭‭Hosea‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
How can anyone sing heart felt praises to God without actually taking the time to know Him?
Jesus said, ““Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:21-23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Attending church is good, but unless one takes the time to personally know Christ, He will refuse to know him or her when He returns; he or she is wasting his or her time.
Furthermore, attending man’s church rather than Christ’ will prophet you nothing.
Jesus is our creator, He created every single human being on the earth. In fact, He knew you before you was in your mothers womb (JEREMIAH 1:5).
But if you cannot make an effort to know Him, it will be too late on the day of judgement, and He will say “I never knew you.”
The only way to really know someone is through relationship, spending time together in conversation, and by involving in one another’s lives, and sharing quality time together.
God wants a personal relationship with you and as a bride is called to submit to her husband, He wants your total submission.
When your relationship is right with Him, you shall come to know Him more, truly trust Him, and love Him, and you will desire from your heart, whether alone or in gathering, to sing His praises because He is worthy of all praise.
From your heart you shall worship Him with your whole being.
Your song will more than a “noise” and your worship will be genuine and from the heart.
You have truly come to believe in Christ and make Him your Lord and Saviour.
Your relationship with Christ can only start in private conversation with God.
Therefore, make time for regular ongoing prayer, involve Him in every aspect of your life.
Make the effort to know Christ today and He will make the effort to know you and be there when you need Him.
A relationship with Christ is like marriage and needs all to be fully committed. Jesus has done His part, in fact He died for you, are you ready to do your part and live for Him?
Like many marriages of today, the church lacks intimacy; they come together once a week but their hearts are not in it.
In marriage, paul tells us, “Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.”
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭7‬:‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
The same applies to our relationship with Christ.
We must, as His bride, come together regularly with Him, and every individual part of the body must participate, holding nothing back.
Intimacy with Christ, like marriage needs to be heart felt every day.
Many people can’t be bothered in their worldly marriage or their relationship with Christ. They make endless excuses why not and allow all kinds religious rules or pride to get in the way.
Whether your human marriage or in Christ, get over yourselves and get up and sing, hold nothing back, and glorify your God.
It’s either Christ church or mans church; if you are attending man’s church, your efforts are in vain.
“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be?”
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭12‬-‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
The Pastor is not there to control or limit, but rather a vessel to host and shepherd.
The Apostle is a vessel to plant and oversee, and the prophet is Gods vessel to speak to His people.
The teacher is a vessel of God that He can teach, and the evangelist is a vessel for God to reach out to the lost.
Neither men or women should preach and teach, and have no reason to copy others, but rather allow Christ in them to do it. “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3‬:‭26‬-‭29‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Since Christ fulfilled all the religious Law on a cross, as Paul said , “All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬-‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
When saved, God’s Spirit joins with our spirit, and we become one spirit in Christ.
“Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭12‬-‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
But God will not join with those whose heart is not right.
Water baptism alone is not enough, John the Baptist said, “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭3‬:‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
But that can only happen if you love Jesus and keep His commandments (JOHN 14:15-18).
We can only do that by putting the lust of our flesh to death and walking in the Spirit (GALATIANS 5:16-26).
That is a heart felt determination to submit to the Lord.
Once saved, the Holy Spirit will manifest Himself through one’s soul, his mind, will, and emotions, “for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
And out of the heart/ belly shall flow living waters (JOHN 7:38), for it is not I, but Christ in me (GALATIANS2:20).
But when we allow the flesh to drag us back into sin, the Holy Spirit shall retreat, remaining silently joined to one’s spirit, convicting repentance and change from within.
It feels like He has left us alone in the wilderness, but He never leaves us (JOHN 14:18); He will never break His covenant. “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Baptism in water is one’s public testimony of his covenant in God, and when God baptises him With His Holy Spirit and fire, He declares the covenant complete. For, “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Your eternal future is sealed forever. But this can only happen through Christ ministry, “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.“
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬-‭22‬, ‭24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
My beloved, make sure that the church you attend is preaching the right Jesus, for if it’s not Christ ministry, it shall prophet you nothing.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
