Brothers & Sisters, Live In Harmony With Each Other. Be Of One Mind, United In Thought & Purpose
Remove All Division From The Church
“Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”
I Corinthians 1:10 NKJV

Paul implores the divided Corinthian church to be united-to be in the “same mind and the same judgment," speaking the same thing and avoiding factions, like following Paul, Apollos, or Cephas, grounding their unity in Christ, rather than human leaders, to come together as one harmonious body.
It's a call to put aside personal preferences and disagreements, learning how to respectfully agree to disagree by focusing on Jesus as the singular foundation for Christian fellowship, using strong language to emphasize agreement and shared purpose.
Paul writes to a church fractured by cliques, where members aligned themselves with different charismatic teachers, like Paul, Apollos, and Peter, instead of Christ.
The verse urges believers to "agree with one another" and "have no divisions," meaning they should hold the same core beliefs and express them harmoniously.
The ultimate source of unity isn't a person or a particular teaching, but Jesus Christ, who is not divided.
The phrase "same mind and same judgment" suggests alignment in spiritual understanding and goals, a state where a disjointed body (the church) is put back into proper alignment by the leading of the Holy Spirit, rather than our fleshy opinions.
Paul appeals "in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ," giving the command weight and grounding it in Christ's authority, not his own.
In simple terms , Paul is essentially saying, "Stop arguing over doctrines, or who you like best, Paul, Apollos, or preachers of today.
You are all one body (church), led by One Spirit, so you need to think and speak in the same way, united under Jesus Christ.
My beloved, “Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you. Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?”
I Corinthians 1:10-13 NKJV
You are not baptised in the name of online preachers, or your pastor, or teacher, but rather in the name of “Jesus Christ”, who is in you.
We can gain knowledge from study, but understanding can only come from God.
“For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;”
Proverbs 2:6 NKJV
My beloved, “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
Ephesians 4:1-6 NKJV
Furthermore, “There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.”
I Corinthians 12:5-11 NKJV
There are difference in ministries, for God purposes accordingly, but every ministry must be grounded in Christ. “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”
Ephesians 4:11-16 NKJV
The truth is, if it’s not Christ five fold ministry, it shall profit you nothing.
All glory to God .
