We Know That God Causes Everything To Work Together For The Good Of Those Who Love God And Are Called According To His Purpose For Them
Deliverance, Freedom, And Healing
ROMANS 8:28
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Romans 8:28 NKJV

This is one of the most encouraging of God’s promises written in the bible.
Paul tells us that whatever is happening in our lives, God knows about it and is using it for the good of His Spirit filled people; those who have truly committed their lives to serving God. Not some things, but all things!
“In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”
Ephesians 1:13-14 NKJV (see also 2 CORINTHIANS 1:22).
God is working in everything, and uses not just isolated incidents, but all things for our good. Evil is prevalent in this fallen world, but God turns the bad into good (GENESIS 50:20).
We know bad things will happen, but James said “when” we fall into various trials, not “if”.
What we do know is, even in the most challenging, dire situations, however difficult or painful, they are temporary and used by God for the good of His people.
God is in control, and He’s using the bad for our eternal good.
That is for good in our lives today, tomorrow, and for all eternity.
James told us, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
James 1:2-4 NKJV
God allows our trials and challenges to reveal what changes are needed in us to bring real transformation and healing.
It is only then that we can choose to turn from all that offends God and come to Him in repentance and receive healing and true freedom by the cleansing of the blood of Jesus Christ.
Notice I say “choose”. We can choose to carry on as we was in our old sinful ways, or we can choose to, with God’s help (JOHN 14:15-18), to address our sin, bad attitudes and responces.
It is then that our character becomes more Christ like and we see real change in our lives.
It is then that we get closer to God to know Him and serve Him more.
Sin separates us from God and let’s the devil and his army of unclean spirits and demons in through the sinful flesh to infiltrate one’s very soul, his mind, will, and emotions, and allows them to influence one to sin even more. They bring about false doctrines and wrong cravings.
They infuriate our emotions them like fear and anguish to mislead us into believing their lies.
These devils, like squatters, make your body their home. They cannot enter one’s spirit for the Holy Spirit resides there and is made perfect; He will not share.
When one is saved, he or she shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and one’s future is sealed (EPHESIANS 1:14), furthermore, the promise extends to our children and loved ones, as many as the Lord chooses to call (ACTS 2:38-39).
The Holy Spirit joins our spirit, and “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”
Romans 8:16-17 NKJV
We then have opportunity to walk by the leading of the Holy Spirit rather than the lust of the flesh.
It’s no longer I but Christ in me, and out of the belly/ heart shall flow living waters as He manifests through our flesh, which has become a Temple of the Holy Spirit (1 CORINTHIANS 6:19).
But the sinful flesh is up for grabs and can and will be taken captive by the enemy through sin if allowed; even the sin of our ancestors.
When one slips back into sin, the Spirit retreats from the flesh, but remains connected to our spirit.
It feels like He has left us in the wilderness and we’re all alone.
But as promised, He never leaves us (JOHN 14:18), and brings change from within, the Holy Spirit brings conviction to change, for “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
Romans 8:1 NKJV
James said, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
James 4:7-10 NKJV
My beloved, we can, having submit to God, command these devil’s to leave and they shall flee, for we Spirit filled believers have authority over them all including their powers (LUKE 10:17).
To resist the devil means to not fall to their whispers of temptation and verbally command him and his army to come out.
Like squatters, they won’t leave without a fight.
They gained authority to enter through sin and one’s body became their home.
Therefore, deal with the sin that let them in; take them before the judge in courts of heaven and tick the boxes through repentance and He will issue an eviction order. It is then that they shall flee from you and you shall be free.
Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
John 8:34-36 NKJV
Not free to continue in sin, but free to live your life with Christ forever.
“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”
Galatians 5:16-26 NKJV
Finally, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Romans 12:1-2 NKJV
