Open The Door & Let Him In

REVELATION 3:20
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
”‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬

The words “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock” is Jesus’ urgent invitation to restore broken fellowship. It signifies Christ's patient pursuit of a relationship, the necessity of human free will, and the promise of intimate, restored communion with Him.
Putting the verse in context, many used it as an invitation for personal salvation, however the verse was originally directed at the lukewarm church in Laodicea and is directed at the luke warm believers of today.
The Laodiceans like many believers of today, had become wealthy and self-sufficient, pushing Jesus to the "outside" of their community and hearts.
Instead of breaking the door down, Jesus waits patiently for them to recognize their spiritual poverty and willingly invite Him back in.

The door is the door to their hearts, life, or church community where Christ is seeking entry.
The word knock symbolises Christ's initiative to break down the barriers of pride and self-reliance.
In the ancient Middle Eastern context, sharing a meal (dining) was the ultimate expression of close friendship, intimacy, and covenant.
The message today is that Christ wants a close intimate relationship with you, but you have to put everything down, submit, and let Him in.
All glory be to God forever and ever! Amen.
Please share to our brothers and sisters all around the world.
