The LORD, He Is The Messiah
Make Today About Jesus
LUKE 2:11-14
“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

The Jews at this time were waiting for a saviour to deliver them from Roman rule; others hoped that Christ would deliver them from their physical ailments.
But Jesus, while establishing a spiritual kingdom and healing their illnesses, delivered them and us today from all sin and death.
He paid our debt of sin by taking our place on a cross, opening a way to peace with God.
His offer is far-more reaching than temporary, political or physical changes-He offers us renewed hearts and minds that will last for all eternity.
He makes way for us through the trials and challenges of today and gives us the confident hope of a wonderful eternal future.
Being saved is not a complicated process.
It starts with relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer.
Salvation does not rely on goods works or any religious actions; it does not rely on one’s power, strength, knowledge, or abilities; and is not affected by one’s sinful past, future mistakes, sexual orientation, or skin colour or place of birth.
Salvation comes through faith alone. “But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””
Romans 10:8-13 NKJV
Belief and confidence in another comes through relationship-faith in Christ comes the same way; the more one gets to know Him, the more he or she shall trust Him.
The works of the devil are very apparent in this world today; poverty, sickness, torment, hardship, lawlessness, sexual immorality, drunkenness, pestilence, addictions, homelessness, unemployment, anxiety/ depression, suicides, and all kinds of corruption and meaningless controls on our lives.
Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
John 10:10 NKJV
My beloved, now would be a good time to turn to God in repentance and receive the gift of life Jesus is offering you. It is eternal and it can be yours in abundance.
All you need do is believe and put your trust in Him.
Give yourself to Christ today, for tomorrow may be too late.
My brethren, if you are not yet baptised, make the decision today to do it. It is a command and a public commitment to God. It is your signature of covenant with Christ.
As we believers start our Christmas Day, may we start our day with prayer, contemplating exactly what Christ has done for all humanity and make Him the centre of our celebrations.
Not just the birth of the only begotten Son, but rather His life, death, and resurrection.
Contemplate everything He has done, and when you drink wine, do so in remembrance of Him.
Make this Christmas what it is supposed to be, the mass of Christ people, giving Him all the glory, for our God deserves every praise.
Don’t allow your celebration to be the pagan festival that so many Christians believe, but rather a festival of joy of Christ and what He has done. It will be what you make it. It can be a festival of witch craft and over indulgence like the pagans done, or it can be a joyful celebration of Christ.
Before you start your Christmas feast, break bread and share communion together in remembrance of what Christ has done, and then speak out Psalm 103 or other Scripture, giving God all the glory, for He alone is worthy.
Make this Christmas Day, what it is supposed to be, a gathering of Christ people in every nation and bless the Lord.
“Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord executes righteousness And justice for all who are oppressed. He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel. The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, And its place remembers it no more. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, To such as keep His covenant, And to those who remember His commandments to do them. The Lord has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all. Bless the Lord, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word. Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His pleasure. Bless the Lord, all His works, In all places of His dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul!”
Psalms 103:1-22 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
