Be Wise With God's Provision
PROVERBS 21:20-21
“There is desirable treasure, And oil in the dwelling of the wise, But a foolish man squanders it. He who follows righteousness and mercy Finds life, righteousness, and honor.”
Proverbs 21:20-21 NKJV

We all desire to have nice things and money in the bank. But in these days with credit so easily available, many live on the edge of bankruptcy.
The desire to keep up appearances drives them to spend every penny they earn, leaving nothing for emergencies.
A wise person saves for his or her future, so that they are ready for hard times.
God approves of foresight and restraint.
We believers need to examine our life styles, to see what is really important, for we reap what we sow.
In the same way, if we follow the righteousness and mercy of Christ, we shall find life, righteousness, and honor.
To seek God is to seek love, for God Is love (1 JOHN 4:8), and love is a lifestyle and a decision.
Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
John 10:10 NKJV
Jesus wants to give us all a wonderful life, indeed, an abundant life., but we have to cooperate with Him and believe to receive it.
He knows your needs, your wants, your likes and your dislikes. But more important, He knows what is good for you and what is not; He is not going to give you something that is damaging to you, but He is faithful to provide all your needs.
The devil on the other hand knows your weaknesses and will always try to use them to pull you away from God.
Therefore, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
I Peter 5:8-11 NKJV
Today, we believers need to be wise, for in these last days we can expect persecution, food shortages, power cuts, and all kinds of rules and restrictions that will have a big affect on believers.
Our money will become useless as we get closer to the days of the mark of the beast, and we are most certainly close to those days (REVELATION 13:11-18).
We need to be prepared for these things.
Have some food stored, maybe candles, and other supplies; if possible, start to produce vegetables in your garden and keep a few chickens and become more self sufficient.
Having said that, don’t be in fear of the dark days ahead, for God is in control and all these things must come to pass and then the end shall come.
My brethren, God is faithful to provide and protect His people.
Jesus said, “Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Matthew 6:30-33 NKJV
We believers can stand on God’s promises, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. ALL, not some, but not if you go in the way of the world.
The pursuit of righteousness is in itself its own reward. But added rewards are found in fullness of life, achieving righteousness and receiving God’s given honor, but, “The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, But He loves him who follows righteousness.”
Proverbs 15:9 NKJV
My beloved, “There is desirable treasure, And oil in the dwelling of the wise, But a foolish man squanders it.”
Proverbs 21:20 NKJV
The oil represents prosperity and anointing for those who seek God’s wisdom.
Don’t squander the treasure you found in Christ, but rather put your trust in Him.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
Proverbs 9:10 NKJV
My beloved, be wise and be ready for the coming days of darkness.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6 NKJV
There is no other way, nor truth, nor life except Jesus.
He is the only way to our Father in heaven.
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
