Don't Let The Sun Go Down While You Are Still Angry
Love Covers A Multitude Of Sins
EPHESIANS 4:25-27
“Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.
”Ephesians 4:25-27 NKJV

Does the bible tell us not to be angry? Of course not! But anger is not an excuse to exaggerate or lie.
It does point out that it is very important to handle our anger properly.
If vented thoughtlessly, anger can do extreme damage, hurting people; it can destroy good relationships, break marriages, and push not only ourselves, but others away from God.
When bottled up inside, it can cause us to become bitter and twisted, and shall open doors to the devil to destroy us from within.
Paul says, “we must deal with our anger immediately in a way that builds relationships rather than destroy them.”
If we hang on to our anger, nursing and feeding it, it will give the devil an opportunity to enter, manipulate, and mislead us with his lies and deception, giving him a foothold to destroy us from within.
Furthermore, he is never far away, he prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour, his purpose is to steal, and to kill, and to destroy (JOHN 10:10; JOB 1:7), and he is good at it.
Don't allow him to use your anger or situations to kill and destroy you, your friends, your relationships, or even your faith and ministry.
We believers are all members of the same body, of which Christ is the head.
“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many.”
I Corinthians 12:12-14 NKJV
We are of the same body, and each member has an individual purpose. But we are all led by the same Spirit, and therefore, we should grow together in unity and work together like a well oiled machine.
“If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be?”
I Corinthians 12:15-19 NKJV
We believers all have individual callings and are gifted accordingly. But it is the same Spirit that is the source of them all (1 CORINTHIANS 12:4-11
Sadly, the devil is able to mislead and bring divisions into relationships and even the body with little whispers of lies, deception, and temptations.
He attacks our emotions to bring anger, rage, fear, and such according to his purpose.
Whether in ministry or in any other situations, we imperfect humans are not always going to agree, but we don’t have to fight over it.
When we can’t agree, we can choose to respectfully agree to disagree and look for common ground to move forward, always operating by the rule of love, “for “love will cover a multitude of sins.””
I Peter 4:8 NKJV
Are you angry with someone right now?
What can you do to resolve your differences?
Stop adding fuel to your fiery situation, but instead dampen it down and begin the work of mending your relationship before the day ends.
Do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.
He, like the corrupt governments and fake news media of today, will attack your emotions that you believe their lies and come into agreement with them.
It is very important to discern and respond correctly.
Our emotions were never designed to bring discernment, therefore rather than how we feel about a situation, we must look at the facts and respond out of love.
Furthermore, our words must be carefully thought out and spoken with love. Often saying nothing at all brings the right message.
What we speak has power, and “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Proverbs 18:21 NKJV
My beloved, “Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”
Ephesians 4:25-32 NKJV
All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
